If you try to convince an atheist of the validity of Christianity this way, you creating more hurdles than removing some.

Let's talk man to man here for a moment.

Since you're using "atheist" as some sort of defense mechanism against Biblical truths, let me make a point here.

Atheists are people who talk themselves out of understanding God and His word.

Jesus draws all souls to Him, but there are those who pull back and end up in eternal damnation.

And that's because God is not going to accept atheism as an excuse for not coming to Christ.

I pray you realize this before it is too late, and your day at the zoo becomes a day at the lake.

Fine for me.
Since you're using "atheist" as some sort of defence mechanism against Biblical truths, let me make a point here.
I am indeed using the label atheist. But you err when you claim that it is an a defence mechanism. It is just a useful label to indicate that I don’t believe in the existence of any deity. I don’t defend me against any “truth” and I don’t use that label as such.
The “biblical truth” that you claim is one of the things you need to demonstrate. Again, making that claim is easy. Lot’s of people have done that about a lot of alleged divinely inspired books. I want evidence. Not just empty claims.
Atheists are people who talk themselves out of understanding God and His word.
No. Atheists are people who don’t believe in the existence of any deity.
At best they talk themselves of human’s words falsely attributed to god(s). Before any word can be ascribed to any deity, you will need to demonstrate the existence of that specific deity. I still want to see you start to try. After that, you ‘ll have to demonstrate that this “word of god” is indeed from god, and not some overzealous preacher who confuses his own words with these of any god.
Jesus draws all souls to Him, but there are those who pull back and end up in eternal damnation.
And that's because God is not going to accept atheism as an excuse for not coming to Christ.
That is, of course assuming that all the Cristian theology is right, for which not the slightest shred of evidence has been provided.
And spare yourself the list of buildings, festive days, hymns, bumper stickers etc. They aren’t any evidence at all.
I pray you realize this before it is too late, and your day at the zoo becomes a day at the lake.
Pray as much as you like. At least you don’t do anything harmful. Just keep in mind that most health organizations recommend at least 30 minutes of vigorous exercise per day. I hope you find some time for staying healthy too.

Assuming that all arithmetic is right, for which not the slightest shred of evidence has been provided, I want to know what five and five equal.

And spare yourself the numbers zero and one. They aren't any acceptable numbers at all.

Oh look, a deflection. What a convincing argument.

I don't consider what you did as convincing either.

Asking me a good question, then telling me ahead of time what you won't accept as valid, shows me you already know what I'm going to say.

So you blacklisted it on purpose, didn't you?

I didn't do anything. You are the one who opened a thread to take questions about "Embedded Age Creationism". So far your answers are just repeating your basic claims without providing any evidence. Especially when evidence is asked for.
And yes, i did label your favorite answer as invalid, because it was invalid the first time you used it, and it is still invalid.
They are evidence of people' believe in deities, not of the existence of the worshiped deities. This has been said in the past, no need to rehash that.

I didn't do anything.

I agree.

You didn't do it, did you?

I don't know how old you are, but it was probably done before you were even born.

Starting around the mid-sixties with the removal of the Bible, prayer, and Ten Commandments off of public property.

And it got easier and easier to blacklist things in the Bible.

You are the one who opened a thread to take questions about "Embedded Age Creationism".

Absolutely.

Go for it.

Creationism is my forte.

So far your answers are just repeating your basic claims ...

That's right.

You're expecting me to change my mind, aren't you?

Or maybe contradict myself? ;)

Maybe you'll eventually get the idea that I really believe what I write?

After all, if I was just making it up, I wouldn't be able to keep my facts straight, would I?

... without providing any evidence.

Evidence that is blacklisted is still evidence.

It's just blacklisted.

To blacklist something, then claim it's not real, is contradictory.

Especially when evidence is asked for.

Ask away.

I have a whole blacklist I'm willing to present.

And yes, i did label your favorite answer as invalid, because it was invalid the first time you used it, and it is still invalid.

That's because it was invalidated long ago, wasn't it?

They are evidence of people' believe in deities,

That is correct.

... not of the existence of the worshiped deities.

Which came first? Jesus or Christmas?

This has been said in the past, no need to rehash that.

And scientists were wrong then, and they're still wrong today.

And despite over six thousand years of death, decay, and destruction -- even on a global scale -- you expect everything to be "near clean and pristine" today?
The crucial point that you seem to miss is that we see all the glacial scratches, all these volcanic layers, all these carved out canyons, all these supernova remnants that are much older than the iconic 6.000 years that you pretend the earth to be around.
To limit maturity to "Adam was created adult but had no belly button", is ignoring the whole of reality.

It's what you don't see that's getting you.

Glacial scratches?

Took forever to make them?

Phuh.

A fallen angel could have scratched his name with one of those overnight.

A lot of praying do be done, my friend. Because with that kind of arguments, my repulsion for christianity grows every day more.

Looking for reinforcement for your atheism, are you?

Tell me, are you one of those who joke about angels dancing on the head of a pin?

If so, then I can see how my guess would affect you.

If not, I'm confused about how weak you think we should think angels are.

So you post things you don't know to be true (at best) or know to be not true (at worst). And you expect my to get sympathy for chistianity?

How many of these can dance on the head of a pin?
