  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The people I saw it with were big fans, and had seen several stage performances (as opposed to me, who had never heard of it before). They were shocked at the amount of blood and said that it was always very implied onstage.

oh my...I learned a very very very important life lesson from seeing this movie....

NEVER see a movie just because Alan Rickman is in it...


my sister told me that it was about a demon barber and Alan Rickman sings in it,so I went...

I didn't realize that the word "demon" was describing the barber..I thought the barber was a barber for demons..

and somehow..I don't know how..but I thought, demons, barbers, musicals = comedy...

Perfume should be reason enough to not see a movie just because Alan Rickman's in it....

I haven't seen it yet, but DH saw it last night (I opted for Veggie Tales :p) and he absolutely loved it. I love all things Johnny Depp and have seen almost all of Tim Burton's movies (only missing maybe 2-3) so I definitely want to see this. I just was more in a pirate mood than demon barber mood last night ^_^
