I'm sick of Survivor. I used to like it but it's just gotten old. It's been on for six years and 10 seasons (it was still the 1990s when the first season was on) and it's always the same thing. It's just gotten old, predictable, and boring.
God bless you in whatever it is that you'll be doing tonight. My advise...dont' waste your time watching "Joey". Joey just isn't that funny without Chandler. ;)

Where did you get that spoiler from anyway?

My TiVo is set to record any shows with the words "Survivor Palau" in their descriptions, so I've been watching a lot of Jeff Probst interviews. :D I've heard him talk about that one on almost every talk show I've seen in the past couple days, but I saw a new one yesterday on Good Day Live that discusses the very first immunity and some other details about the first 10 minutes of the show.

First immunity spoiler (and some other new twists that are revealed at the beginning of the show):

The contestants are in a boat - in their dress clothes because they were told they were going to a photo shoot - and Jeff says, "There's your beach. You'll find two machetes, a map to water, and two immunity necklaces. The first man, and the first woman, who make it to the beach get immunity." They all have to jump out of the boat and swim to shore in a race for the first immunity.

Apparently that is also ALL they get to start with. They aren't even given their packs, with their clothes and their luxury items. Some of the contestants that are in high heels are given their sneakers, and that's it. They have a challenge somewhere down the line where they can win their packs. They get absolutely nothing to start with.

I agree that was a really great first episode! i am really glad they didnt send angie home! who cares if she was picked last. it really shouldnt make a difference since each person only chose one person to pick, whether you were picked first or last shouldnt say much really. I felt soooo sorry for Jonathon and Wanda. That must really stink. You go through the interview process you get the call. You get there and never even get to play. They didnt get to spend the first 3 days atleast and they never got to participate in a single challenge. They really got robbed. i cant even imagine how disappointing that must have been! And poor Jonathon was the one that overcame cancer. So basically they were just little CBS guinea pigs out to be slaughtered for ratings. Thats the only reason CBS had 20 is to massacre two of them before the game started. I reallllly felt bad for them. And wanda seemed like she would have been such an interesting character to watch too. Oh well. I was so surprised that Coby didnt pick Angie after he made such a big deal to her that they would be the outcasts together. i dont like Coby. Him going around telling everyone to vote out Jonathon could defintiely have been why Jonathon wasnt picked by anyone. Poor guy. Oh well i cant wait till next week.

Yeah, that was rather ruthless. Maybe they'll pull that twist they did a couple of seasons ago where the people who got kicked off had a chance to come back. I can't imagine how bad it would feel to come all that way and be gone in the first few hours. Good for TV, but bad for the contestants!

Needlessly harsh.

I am all in favor of mixing up the game, but turning the first day into a popularity contest before a single challenge had given anyone fat, fit, old or obvious to show they were a serious player was just wrong.

I watched Wanda on The Early Show this morning and she immediately started singing and IMO - it was annoying. But she came across as cogent and energetic after she finally stopped with the singing. She played the edit card, but if I was annoyed after watching my tape of the show, and 30 seconds of her with Rene Syler, I think the editing might have been on to something.

I still would have liked a challenge to have occured before the initial "culling."

Angie does nothing for me. Someone with a bunch of freaky tats and piercings crying, "I'm such an outcast," needs to understand that they're a outcast for having all those freaky tats and piercings.

As far as Jolanda being voted out... I'm still getting used to the 20... er.. 18 players forming tribes and whether it was a good decision or not tactically or strategically to make a comment. She too complained about the editing, which is a turn off since either you actually said/did the things you did on camera, or it's CGI; she definately did show herself up as a leader/singular decision maker, which is a killer in the first few episodes.

I'm liking Tom...

I'm still trying to get over the fact that the other tribe lost their box with the fire. As soon as their canoe tipped over, wouldn't you think someone would dive down and try and retrieve it before it hit the bottom of the ocean? Right the canoe later, grab the box.

I really felt bad for Jonathan, Not so much for the annoying singing Wanda, I figured she'd not be picked. I am hoping that maybe they'll get another chance to be in on some of the challenges.

Then, when Koror(sp?) tribe lost their reward ,I kind of felt. How Ironic, To win but still not have the reward.

You're close. Oolong is the tea. :)

I thought it was a little harsh to have them chose teams like that. Reminds me of grade school when in gym class we had to pick teams for kick ball! Not pleasant memories. I did feel really bad for the last two-to get kicked off before they really got to take part in much of anything. I am also hoping there is some way they will get brought back in the game somehow.

And as for Coby/Colby (I can't remember which!) not picking Angie after he made such a big deal about how they were outcasts and needed to stick together just showed what kind of player he is going to be.

From some odd reason, I like Ian (the guy that got the immunity necklace first). He reminds me of someone I know, I just can't quite remember who.

Well, I think I'll chime in right about now...

I also felt really bad for the two that got voted off first. That must have been so embarrasing and unfair. I didn't feel as bad for Wanda as I did Jonathan. I was sooo surprised that when it came down to him and the old guy, the old guy was chosen over him. Jonathan looked like a really strong and good player.

I can't believe that the team who won the award lost they're fire! That's amazing. Now they have a bad island, at least it looked like it, no shelter, little food/water, and no fire! Did you see in the previews for next week that they still are looking for their fire box! Wow! They seem almost worse off than the other team who didn't win.

Who did everyone like? I kinda like Tom from the brown team and Stephanie from the blue team. I don't know why, I just do. ;)
