I think he was referring to the "Atlas of Creation", and Muslim creationist in general. He was suggesting they have a common cause, and could perhaps work together to progress it.

I downloaded the "Atlas of Creation" and I must say it's an impressive work. I think its far better than anything I've ever seen Christian creationist present. If I was a creationist I would think it would be a great tool to support my position.

The book certainly isn't pro-evolution.

And of course the New York Times is going to be pro-evolution. That because they are a reputable newspaper.
They don't want to be laughed at!

So why shouldn't there be a thread about it on a creation forum? What's wrong wrong looking at other creation stories?

Er...not to stir up debate or anything, but it's pretty difficult to locate a news source with any credibility that doesn't acknowledge that to date there has been no significant scientific challenge to evolutionary theory.

I have noticed an increase in traffic to the Origins Theology board, though, which I think is great. Anything that gets creationists out of this hideaway mentality is a good thing.

I'm not sure why they feel the need to make this kind of moral indignation public. Do they think that it'll somehow change the way we post?

What was it, busterdog? You didn't like that I called it a hideaway mentality, even though that's what it is? Really, what is your problem with calling a spade a spade?

That is from the Preface to the Atlas of Creation. Basically what the OP has done is to mock the underlying premise of this rather lengthy essay by this Islamic intellectual. It has enjoyed widespread popular interest and has been made available to some schools where it is welcome.

His stuff is interesting but strongly authoritarian which makes it an unattractive alternative to Darwinism for me personally. I think biology is about cell architecture, nucleotides, amino acids and molecular mechanisms. I am convinced that this constant inundation from religious and secular cultural agendas is ruining basic biology for masses of people.

The theory of evolution cannot and does not have the slightest affect on the Christian faith. If you doubt the Scriptures because you believe in the mythology of common ancestry then you would have embraced another mythology in it's place had you not encountered Darwinism.

This cultural conflict has nothing to do with the life sciences. If you think I'm wrong about this then just browse the threads here and in the Crevo forum. Where are the discussions about cell architecture, amino acid sequences, the three dimensional structure of proteins and the molecular mechanisms that do the work of cellular functions. Neither the famous bean plant experiments of Mendel nor the discussion of natural selection in Darwin's On the Origin of Species are of the slightest interest on either side of the issue.

Science and Theology have been trampled under foot by the selfish ambitions of both extremes in this sick contest of wills. I don't know who will prevail but one thing is certain, Theology and Science are the big losers.

It's shameful that the elegant sacred theology of the Christian faith along with the mental and physical tools of natural science should be treated with such disregard. I despise these debates for that and say that knowing that I am as much a part of the problem as anyone.

At any rate, the Atlas of Creation is available at Harun Yahya's website if you want a firsthand view of it. Don't judge the man's work based on that superficial news article, browse the book itself, it won't cost you anything but your time.

Look, do you want evolutionist naysayers kicked out of Creationism or not? When evolutionists respond, you feel attacked. When a mod moves a thread out of Creationism in response to such provocation, you cry discrimination. Would you be happier if evolutionists simply couldn't see or do anything at all with anything you posted?

Then find another forum. It's as simple as that. It's one thing to hate evolutionists to the core but it's another thing to whine and mock when the moderators are trying their utmost best to help you and fulfill your needs.
