Moving on from this topic.
People are going to see what they want to see no matter what verses are presented.

I pray that folks pray and fast and seek the Scriptures again on this matter in the event they may be wrong. Read a bunch of Christian articles on the topic. Ask the Lord what He thinks.

Well said. The idea that a God will magically lift someone’s depression is a dangerous one. Why? Because the majority of the time it doesn’t happen which leads to anger and resentment toward God. And worsens the guilt and anger many depressed people already feel toward themselves, thinking they don’t have enough faith or some other idiocy.

Second an answer to prayer could be right in front of us. God can work through doctors, therapists, and medication. But we overlook those because we expect some big spectacle.

When the medicine started helping I considered that an answer or prayer. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the biggest difference.

I pray you develop compassion for the difficulties faced by your fellow man, especially those you cannot understand.

I have to work on another project. I don't have time to discuss this with folks here. I said what I needed to say with Scripture.

May God bless you all and I pray you seek out the truth more on this matter.

Both of those go for either side of this, but you can also go by the consensus on this very thread, I mean these are the people that HAVE looked into it.

No one is righteous, including Job.

Sure they are, just not truly righteous...they are as righteous as they can be as the Psalm I was talking about indicates. You want other scripture that says people were righteous? I can do that for you.

Neither is judging the final destiny of a soul .There is a difference between pointing out sinful behaviour, and playing God .In fact it is likely to rebound on you, as you will be judged harshly ,if you do the same .

No. I’ve made my point on this thread.

There is a difference between worldly sorrow and Godly sorrow.
2 Corinthians 7:10
"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

Scripture never attributes Judas as someone who dies with Godly sorrow (Acts 1:15-25).
In fact it's quite the opposite, Judas is ascribed as someone who due to his wickedness, is now getting what he deserved ... "left to go where he belongs.” …aka hell.

The bible seems to be full of contradictions since there are so many interprétations . There is no mention of dying (not murder ) by you own hand when suffering ,or lonliness is so great . If it is done in hate , to punish people that could be different .

Luther pointed out a long time ago that somebody that commits suicide is more like a traveller on a road mugged by robbers. Therefore, he changed the longstanding medieval practice of refusing funerals to those who died by suicide.

I don't think suicide is an unforgivable sin. Our salvation is not dependent on our works.

One could just as easily call judas sorrow a Godly sorrow, he was sorry he did such a terrible thing to Gods son.

But either way, I won't be one to judge him to hell, I'll leave that to God and whoever else feels they have the right.

I find you scary, as you seem to totally lacking in the imagination to understand in what circumstances someone could save their soul by commiting suicide .

Actually a more accurate translation is thou shalt not murder. The Israelites were often commanded by God to kill. Jesus said

““So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:31-32‬

He then goes on to say that a good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit. So I believe according to this that suicide can be forgiven if the person has produced good fruit because there is only one unforgivable sin. Now if the person has simply stumbled in sin while committing suicide I believe he can possibly be forgiven but if that person has turned away from God and commits suicide then that person may not be forgiven.

I'm at least more convinced with MMB's scripture, Judas may be in big trouble, but for betrayal, and not suicide.

Actually Jesus said no one can snatch them (His sheep) from my hand. This doesn’t mean that a person can’t lose their salvation. If someone willingly turns away from God they are not being snatched out of His hand. They’ve basically jumped to their own death. The parable is explaining that no outside force can take away our salvation but we can surely choose to turn away from God at anytime we choose. That would be spiritual suicide which will not be forgiven unless the person repents before it’s too late. Either before they die or before judgement day comes.
