Ok...

EXODUS 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. [6TH COMMANDMENT of the 10 COMMANDMENTS]

1 CORINTHIANS 3:16-17 [16], Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17], If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

If you kill yourself how are you going to seek God's forgiveness once your dead?

Now please show me a scripture that says suicide is not a sin and can be forgiven?

God bless all...

That is a stretch on the verse.

Suicide is a sin... i said that it is murder of oneself and all sins are forgiven.

Did you know that when Jesus died on the cross He accomplished these 4 edicts:

Daniel 9:24 : covenant and contract
1. finish the transgression
2. make an end to sins
3. make reconciliation for iniquity
4. bring in everlasting righteousness

God set forth a propitiation that every person receives the full benefits of that contract of edicts

1 John 5:13 - End of chapter

Sin'th not vs 18 : WE CANNOT SIN!!
We know (5758) that whosoever is born (5772) of God sinneth (5719) not; but he that is begotten (5685) of God keepeth (5719) himself, and that wicked onetoucheth (5731) him not.

It doesn't hurt to believe that suicide ends the contract because it will guilt someone into not doing it.

Where do the scriptures say unconfessed sins will not be forgiven?

That is exactly what I said :)

Salvation is conditional on BELIEVING and FOLLOWING God's WORD which says..

1 JOHN 1:9 [9], If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

PROVERB 28:13 [13], He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

If you kill yourself how are you going to seek God's forgiveness once your dead?

Now please show me a scripture that says suicide is not a sin and can be forgiven?

Hope this helps

““So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. So Natsumi Lam,

How are all sins forgiven if you have not repented, confessed and have not sought God's forgiveness? Where is the scripture that says you do not have to confess your sins when you commit them in order to have God's forgiveness?

Are you saying that you cannot sin once your come to Christ and are Born again? How do you reconcile the following scritures?

HEBREWS 6:4-8
[4], For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
[5], And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
[6], If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
[7], For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth plants fit for them by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God:
[8], But that which bears thorns and briars is worthless, and is near unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

1 JOHN 2:1 [1], My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Millions are out there today are committing spiritual suicide by denying Jesus as their personal savior...I am not convinced that physical death by suicide is an unpardonable sin but I am certain that if you die physically without accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour seals your eternal fate....IMHO.

Well, what if someone has sins that are hidden to himself that he can't confess as a result of their hiddenness, despite constant self scrutiny? Will God send that person to hell for human weakness?

I did answer my friend. What you are implying is that there is more than one unforgivable sin. Jesus said every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven except sin against the Holy Spirit. Nowhere does the Bible say you must confess your sins to be forgiven. It says if you confess your sins they will be forgiven. I think perhaps we might be picturing two different scenarios of suicide. I’m talking about a true Christian who stumbled in his walk by losing hope and not trusting in God and killed himself. If he did produce fruit and he did repent of sin and he did abide but he stumbled by committing suicide then I believe he will be saved even tho he hasn’t confessed his sin. If what your saying is true then there are two unforgivable sins which is contradictory to Matthew 12:31.

Right. Now whether or not a believer can commit the unforgivable sin is a debate for another thread.

With all respct brother BNR32FAN, no you did not answer the questions asked of you.

The unpardonable sin today is the state of continued unbelief. The Spirit currently convicts the unsaved world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). To resist that conviction and willfully remain unrepentant is to “blaspheme” the Spirit. There is no pardon, either in this age or in the age to come, for a person who rejects the Spirit’s promptings to trust in Jesus Christ and then dies in unbelief. The love of God is evident: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). And the choice is clear: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him” (John 3:36).

It is those who reject God's WORD that have committed the unpardonable sin.

Nowhere does the Bible say you must confess your sins to be forgiven. It says if you confess your sins they will be forgiven.

This statement simply does not make any sense. God's WORD says this...

1 JOHN 1:9 [9], If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

PROVERBS 28:13 [13], He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.

How are you going to confess your sins after you have killed yourself?

Where is the scripture that says you do not have to confess your sins? Seems a bit strange don't you think that God's WORD tells us that confessing and forsaking our sins is a condition of God's FORGIVENESS if it is not necessary.

This is not biblical brother because God's WORD says whatsoever is not of faith is sin *ROMANS 14:23 and also in JOHN 3 it it written; [16], For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17], For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18], He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Now...

* If you kill yourself how are you going to seek God's forgiveness once your dead?
* Now please show me a scripture that says suicide is not a sin and can be forgiven?

Sorry brother, I am not trying to be difficult here. I am just sharing God's WORD. We may have to agree to disagree.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

There are, at least, six different kinds of suicide:
  1. Self-murder,
  2. Self-homicide (for unclear reasons),
  3. Unsuccessful defense,
  4. Self-sacrifice,
  5. Unnecessary self-sacrifice, and
  6. Recklessness for the same five reasons.
You will have to be more specific about which type of suicide you are referring to.

Couldn't #4 apply to Jesus then?

Has anyone ever heard that suicide is a sin that cannot be forgiven? Where did this teaching come from? Why can't it be forgiven? Didn't Jesus die for all of our sins past, present, and future? So why is suicide an unforgivable sin?

Many christians say this, however I think we can rationally understand why some people commit suicide.
We aren't them and we do not know the amount of pain they went through - sure, some of them could have killed themselves from just overreacting but it is also possible that there are people who are just in that much emotional pain.

Just like with the referencing of "Thou shall not kill"
> We know, generally killing is wrong but we can understand it being done in some situations such as self-defense.

Here is one story. A couple of months ago, there was this family of 5 that got into a bad car accident around Delaware (i think) and this accident claimed the lives of all of them accept for the mother. Can you imagine how painful that is, that you sort of wished that God just took her life with the family? If this mother took her own life due to that type of pain, and she was judged by funde-christians to be going to hell... don't you think that is wrong?

Correct, suicide is indeed an unpardonable sin. One of God's 10 commandments is that we should not kill *EXODUS 20:13. This includes ourselves. When we sin or break God's commandments when we are alive we can always seek God in repentance and forgiveness for our sins as we have faith in God's WORD. You cannot do this once you have killed yourself.

We are not our own we are brought with a price.

1 CORINTHIANS 3:16-17
[16], Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17], If any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

You do know that Paul murdered innocent people, yet he was forgiven? You think God would forgive murdering others but will not forgive someone who took their own life due to high emotional pain or making a mistake?

Hebrews 6: 4-8 has to do with only mature meat-eating Christians.

There are 4 things you can do outline by the Word of God that are unforgivable. They are all stated.
1. blaspheming the Holy Spirit
2. Mature Christian willfully turning their back in Christ
3. Taking the mark
4. bowing to the beast

all are explicitly outlined.

We cannot sin once saved. 1 John 5:18 and Daniel 9:24

We know (5758) that whosoever is born (5772) of God sinneth (5719) not; but he that is begotten (5685) of God keepeth (5719) himself, and that wicked onetoucheth (5731) him not.

Again the First 4 Edicts in Dan 9:24 prophecy:
1. to FINISH the transgression
2. to make and END to sin
3. to make reconciliation for iniquity
4. to bring everlasting righteousness
