  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't know if someone's already posted this before. But I just want to let you know that you're not alone. Even though your thoughts of shame, guilt, and doubt consume you, you should know that God is always there for you and He is the ultimate Comforter and Healer. Whatever you're going through, God will get you through it. Keep your head between your knees and don't let satan kick you down!

Before you feel like there is no hope,
you should know that satan gives you his best (or should I say worst) before God gives you His best.

That's something to think about.

Praying for ya!

Thank you all. I am doing much better today after a good nights sleep. Looking foward to going away later today, I am going away with nine of my friends who are all Christian, I couldn't talk to them about this but it will be nice to be surrounded by Christian love for a whole weekend.

I really mean it, Thank you all and God bless you for all your kind words.

Jeremiah 6:16
This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.

Psalm 62:1; 5-8
My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God ;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

Matthew 11:28-30
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Hebrews 4
A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God
Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.' "And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work."And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest." It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Hi Jaye!
I hope your weekend went well!??!

I'm so sorry for everything you are going through! It sounds like you are being really sensible in getting the help you need!

I will defintely be praying for you, and dont hesitate to ask for more help or support ok?

Just a thought ... do you have friends you can contact day or night, or the numbers of some UK helplines, in case you start to feel suicidal again and need someone to talk to, to help you ground yourself??

Journalling is another really good way to work through issues like this, too. Have you ever tried it? :)

(((((((((Jaye)))))))))))

Bless you sweetie - keep pushing through this!!
