lol cool beans! It's weird - my understanding is that WELS is now the third largest (vastly outnumbered by the ELCA) - but most I come across are WELS. Maybe just the luck of the draw?

I hunk a lot depends on location too. I'm in the Midwest and WELS are everywhere.

Yeah - my mom was from Wisconsin...and there ya have it.

So - kinda made sense that even though she moved to Southern California - she gravitated toward/sought out a WELS church.
