Blessings you two ;) ,

If I may...??? Look at post 51 in relation to OP in that this vessel had the answer from on high but refused to hear because one must introspect all the brains taught ways through religion, people & bible format and in those three, some are next to impossible to swallow for some sheep. Some verses in application means no religion holds us like... Prov 3:5, Rom:12:2 for measure in 3 with dedication ,patients & obedience to doing right all around= choice = love= forgiveness in totality and realizing knowledge of good & evil= choice .

Im tryen to keep this short peeps but.... :D . We inflict evil upon each other, in choice. For me , I had to commit much evil to come to realize this... What does this "soul" stand for, good or evil? My flesh chooses evil but my soul cries good in a soft whisper... Amen

There is a difference between pleasing him, and being his pleasure as a place one abides in; (one is continual and one is not), as there is between what is spirit and what is soul as it relates to us as a reality that lives in us (and we live within), together, or not together becoming us, and is how we meet the measure of all things by.

I dont think any person is continual in that. You would be hard pressed to find an example of that in Scripture. God alone is good, no one perfectly seeks, no one understands, no, not one. God alone is to be glorified and He alone is worthy.

This is the closest thing to perfection that one can attain-

Philippians 3:12

12 It is not as though I had already attained it, nor were already perfect; but I follow after, that I may apprehend that for which Christ Jesus also apprehended me.

If you are not free indeed, the son has not set you free.

Hi X,

Now that is deep fellowship right there ^^^ . For RMS , it seems to focus on pleasing Him. For me , one can not "please" Him . Being "His pleasure" is easy , "My burden is light"= Joy in, of & through Him. When one gets it and it clicks then one is set free in "Want" and not "Deed". Living in "Want" is continual from the inside out . Love unfathomable is not in us, thus in folly, we try to capture that state to make it ours in mind, tongue & deed and are blind (for some) to the impossibleness of it and call it sin in our lacking in the pursuit and live in condemnation. Thus, "Sin no more"(as stated by the, "I Am") is a state of being in, Mind. Now one looses condemnation in admittance that one is a wretch compared to God and a measure takes hold of Mind (in sincerity) in peace (as it is written).

From assumption, at times we leave stumbling blocks in conceptual thinking (addressed in this thread) in "concentration" of verbiage (also addressed in this thread) to interpretation of the individual. However, that is like speaking in tongues and there is a basis for tongues in an interpretation... What is Good, right, just and stems from love unfathomable ??? Thus , take time to read these excerpts and pray over them (like the one above) and find the positives and not the negatives in them  . Very deep that is when one analyzes it closely X. to God.

It is reflective in how God became an adversary to Adam, which made Adam an adversary to God, and therefore Adam his own adversary as something that was chosen, but in the end found to be a devil, but needful for the process in becoming a son.

Perception is everything ...

What was so foolish about what i said? I was quoting paul who said that he was not perfect, and he also said that this is how a mature person thinks, if i understood him correctly.

.

Are you free indeed? yes or no?

Explain the scripture i posted and perhaps i'll be able to answer that question, i'm unsure of what you consider "free", so i'll need a bit more information on that definition. Was Paul free indeed? Was he a fool for saying that he was not perfect? Or was he a fool for saying that he had not yet apprehended?

Did the words of his mouth snare him?

I don't judge after the flesh no more than I know Christ after the flesh.

It has never been what I consider free (spoken as a man) it is what God considers free ...

If you have the mind of Christ who are you?

There is no other foundation that can be laid other than Christ, which is inclusive of all as who we individually are.

Based on your question of Paul (in the light of being equal with God as a mind we possess), was Paul double minded, (or as James put it), unstable in all his ways? or was he speaking as one under the law to those who were under the law ...

Obviously Paul was speaking about himself and about all brethren, and he said that we should all mind the same thing, and if you would have read the text then you would see this, and wouldn't need to ask. You say you don't judge anyone after the flesh but isn't that exactly what you did to me? You really don't know any more than the rest of us do, you just use a lot of mystical type vocabulary and your answers clearly show that you are no further than rest of us in your understanding. You tell me to leave the vine even though Christ says to abide there. What is that about?

No, you did this to yourself ... please go back and look at my posts in the thread you are referring to and find that I did not use the word vine in any communication with you, this was your own doing. For the record, I give no thought when another judges me, I have one who judges me, and in this I am secure.

Ok, you said we must leave the field. But the bible says that the wheat and tares live together until the Lords harvesters uproot them and sepparate them and store the wheat in His barn. So how can i uproot myself then? Its Gods work, not mine.

And i did nothing to myself, you did, you trapped yourself in your own words but then accused me of doing this.

Even if we walk in and follow after the spirit, we still deal with the flesh. Paul said we are not yet perfect, he follows after, he said. I see it this way- Paul talks to us both spiritually and he talks about the flesh too because we are still living in the flesh, paul doesn't throw out all fleshy commands because we still live in a world of flesh. Paul said we should mind the same thing, this means that we are all equal, there is no higher plain of understanding which puts one person above another, there is just faith, love and hope, and there is brotherhood, and the greatest in the kingdom is the servant, not the scholar, and the greatest thing is love, not scholarship. We are dead and our life is hidden in Christ, in heaven. We are not yet perfected, not yet. It does not yet appear what we will be. Isn't this what scriptures say?

Philippians 3:12 It is not as though I had already attained it, nor were already perfect; but I follow after, that I may apprehend that for which Christ Jesus also apprehended me.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

1 Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Colossians 3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Colossians 3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
Character of the New Man

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

I see nothing wrong with having a humble and contrite attitude.

Luke 18:9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

The Lord said we must humble ourselves if we want to enter the kingdom, he never said we must feel super righteous. I may be far from perfect, and i may suffer depression and fears but one thing i know is that this tax collector was not rejected by God.

Righteousness is not a byproduct of thought.

You cannot by thought add anything to it or by thought take anything away from it, as FTS said, we cannot please him; he is pleased with nothing less than himself, which is my confidence, as it is my cross (concerning thought), and why he does not stop until we begin to understand what is meant by the saying that God might be all in all.
