It is not a possibility though, the reality is that they ARE worshipping false idols

How many millions are you speaking for? No one here would claim to know that everyone in Church this Sunday worships the G-d of the Bible in Spirit and in Truth. Yet you make this claim? It is out of character for your username.

It is not a possibility though, the reality is that they ARE worshiping false idols in the EXACT same way it is done in the Bible. The Bible gives us examples of false worshiping and then explains the repercussions of it so that we can detect this false worshiping in our reality now. You are only trying to rationalize it into something "possible" because my argument does tear down the "experience as evidence" argument most Christians use to prove God.

A God experience is no more evidence for religion than a Vishnu experience. Someone worshiping Vishnu is not worshiping the Christian God, and they will openly tell you that they refute this God. There is nothing going on behind the scenes here where they are somehow actually worshiping the real true God and they just don't know it.

Also, the intent is not pure, they are using faith to win at sports...that's like praying for God to help you win the lottery. Is that pure?

So according to this argument you are not willing to consider anyone who does not call themselves by the title "christian" is saved because you can and have spoken to the nature of their hearts. ALL of them.

I do know that those who do indeed worship false idols will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven because scripture says they will not. That said I also know it is a little more difficult to identify "idol worshipers" than it use to be. I would even go so far as to say a great portion of the Christian church can fall under this technicality, if you only want to look at it from a legalistic view point. So either your OT Jews standard in determining a "idol worshiper" needs to be examined or the majority of the church (Any building that bears a cross, and those who worship there) are in trouble. (with your hate filled version of God.)

Someone that worships Vishnu isn't worshipping a false idol? We're not talking about God of the Bible or Christians in church, we're talking about people worshipping and praying to completely different Gods...there is no confusion here.

Our conversation just did this :

Me: A Hindu that worships Vishnu is worshipping a false idol
You: You speak for all Christians in church on Sunday?

...notice how the topic derailed and you changed my claims in order to pin ignorance on me?

It's pretty safe for me to make the claim that a devout Hindu does not believe in the Bible God or his power. But they still get power through faith from Vishnu, and it affects their reality just like your God experience affects yours.

You have no idea what someone else worships

Are you serious? Are you rejecting that Hindus worship Vishnu and hundreds of other gods much different from your God?

I have a very good idea of what other people worship, they declare it just like you do.
