struggling with homosexuality

well, that's me. Bin looking for a bro to talk to really. I go church and have a few friends that I have told about what I struggle with. But I find that as its something that they haven't faced, find it really uncomfortable for me to talk about with them (pastor included). Its hard enough trying to talk about my sexuality and I wanna have a friend can talk to but also someone that I don't have to sugar coat what I'm trying to say. I come from a large family and have been raised to think that gay people are less than human and have struggled to see myself worth in family and friendships. The only place I have found worth is by understanding what I mean to God.

Yes, you should be able to find someone who you can be frank with...if you have problems let me know and I will see what I can do.
Talking to your Pastor is a hard thing to do but should be the way to go eventually as they may be able to guide you further.
I certainly do not agree that Gay people are less than human...after all we are all sinners and its only by Gods Mercy that we are in his Kingdom, please don't beat yourself up over this. I am sure that you will find someone who acts in loving kindness rather than brutal intolerance and I pray that the Lord will bless you with courage, strength and peace of mind.

I can relate to the need to find someplace to be able to talk openly and to be able to ditch all that self hate. I hope you find some people you can talk to - you can talk to me, though I not exactly a 'bro' but I know those who abstain, who recognize it is part of them, who struggle and continue to do so - there are many paths, and I hope you can find the one that works for you. Sometimes God does interesting things in the paths of our lives, and I hope that you feel you are worthy of love soon. Real soon.

Sometimes People who call themselves christians make a big deal about homosexuality but the truth is that what you stuggle with is no defferent to God than anything anyone else struggles with.

our culture tries to get people to think that they are gay and to make the problem part of there self identity.

please do not do that. sin is sin and sin does effect our genetic makeup and sin is passed on to the children by there fathers, but in Jesus Christ we are seperated from the mess we enherit and are transformed from Glory to Glory.

do not feel guilty about the feelings and do not think that because you have the feeling you are gay. feelings are nothing more than feelings and everyone has there own sycological quirks. the feelings are not sin, only the actions are sin.

because your struggle is not different to God than my struggle with lusting after women. . . you and i both get victory in Christ the same way. so check out my post on the (Struggleing with Lust) thread on the (New Christians) forum at the top of the forums list.

scripture says that men who engage in homosexual acts suffer in there personalities. This is true but do not think that it is who you are. As you live your life in Jesus Christ your personality will change and you won't look or feal gay anymore.
I was never attracted to guys but in first grade i played sexual games with my neighbor. and i allways feals really oquard growing up and i looked gay even thow i was not attracted to women. but now because i have been living in Jesus Christ and have been transformed from Glory to Glory. all of my gay looking quirkes are gone and my personality is restored.

You need to think of your struggle as a struggle against sin. <staff edit> I pray that you can overcome your temptations. Its a hard thing to conquer your natural lusts and insticts <staff edit> I pray that you find purity and support and a heterosexual man 'bro' to talk to and help you defeat your sinful urges.
