Anyone here have strange food mixtures/combos?

Me, personally, I like eating my oatmeal with soy sauce and pepper.

I know someone who likes putting salt in her coffee and someone who dips french fries in vanilla ice cream (or do most people do this?).

I'm with you. But though I dont eat weird food combinations... I like to try exotic foods, like clam, squid, oysters, dragonfruit, kiwano, cactus fruit ...like if I have never seen it or tasted it ...I get curious about it and end up trying it. :)

Used to love dipping my French fries in vanilla milkshakes when I was a teen. Not so much now, though.

My ex-wife's family used to make oyster stuffing every Thanksgiving. Sounds gross, but I actually started to look forward to it after 20 years of marriage...

My dad and brother will douse everything they eat with Tobasco sauce. Just can't do it.

I have a friend who grew up dirt poor in the Philippines and he said that there are two things that are incredibly cheap there: rice and coffee. What the people would do was cook some rice and pour black coffee over it to give it flavor. I actually want to try that out some day to see what it's like.

My Great Grandfather used to wrap up a spoonful of sugar in a lettuce leaf and eat it.

As for me, I can never eat pizza without ranch dressing. When I was a child, I used to eat my pizza pops cold but not frozen.

Coffee and rice...might not be too bad...there's something we call "champurado" in the philippines, it's like a sricky rice chocolate flavored poridge like thingy hahaha, taste good though with condensed milk and crackers...

Here's something I want to eventually try out:

Fool's Gold Loaf - Wikipedia

It was Elvis Presley's favorite meal. It's a sandwich stuffed with peanut butter, jam, and bacon. Another thing he ate that I wan to try out are peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

Ah those look good! Hrrrmmmm anything with bacon though, will eventually taste good lols

Have you tried like a fruit crepe? They usually mix banana peanut butter and nutella

No, I don't think I've have ever tried it. I'd love to try it, sounds really good.

Upon doing some research, famous people with bizarre tastes in food include...

-Tiny Tim who would eat spaghetti sauce out of the jar.
-Richard Nixon ate cottage cheese and ketchup for lunch.
-Frederick the Great drank his coffee with mustard in it.
-Henry Ford made salads, sandwiches, and soups using roadside greens like weeds.

Hrrrrmmm out of all of them, i think tiny tim not too bad lol

Coffee with mustard...i guess for a more bitter taste?!
:argh:

I don't know if its strange enough but I love to eat peanut butter and cheese by itself. Just get a nice big spoon and bust out a jar of peanut butter and warm up a big plate of cheddar cheese till its crispy. Yum yum.

Fudge! All of those are absolutely disgusting. But I'll admit it was the cottage cheese and ketchup that totally turned my stomach.

About as weird as I get is sometimes adding a small splash of some kind of juice to hot chocolate. Also, I heat sushi in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before eating. I don't like cold starches, so that brings it back to room temperature enough that I can eat it. Any more than that, though, would be really weird. :|
