  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello everyone! It is good to come here and read of how others deal with their issues about loss! We do receive comfort from each other!

His grace is sufficient! His strength is made perfect in weakness! Our sweet Lord cares for us and has purpose for us! What could be better?

The first few years after he died I gave my self a gift on our anniversary. He was always so thoughtful, gifts and flowers for birthdays and anniversaries! So, I just continued that! First year I gave myself a painting and hung it over the fireplace. Next year I gave myself a sewing machine and took quilting lessons and made a quilt! Really is a special remembrance for me and I know he would be pleased.

Also at Christmas, the funeral home has a Remembrance tree and memorial service for those who experienced a loss. They give a gift ornament for you to take as a momento. I've only gone a few times but think this year I may go.

Pleasant memories to all of you through this holiday season!

It is just good to come here and share!
Blessings to each of you!
