I just don't get how deceived some people are.

Stephen hawking's computer is the same as the computers from this era....here is an example to remind you:

Predictability? Have you tried using the "word predictabilty" feature in Samsung S6 (the most advanced smart phone yet that runs circles around Stephen Hawking's computer). It's awful, it always gets the words wrong etc etc.

There is no way he can type those novel size books and give those long lectures, it's just not possible. Someone is typing it all for him and he is just another actor (with or without ALS).

All of science is "hyping" him, it's all fake.

For an alleged IT expert, you don't seem to understand the concept of "upgrades."

You may want to back up your claims with some actual truth -- it certainly couldn't hurt.

Have you actually seen how he types (there is a video on youtube). He has to scroll down a long list of words 1 by 1.....and that is just for one word.

Imagine putting together whole sentences. Publishing entire books this way? Or putting together long lectures.......I'm sorry but that is asking me to believe a little too much. The entire thing is a hoax.

Books have been written on much more primitive computers than this one. And texting is kind of slow, but it's not _that_ slow. I certainly prefer a keyboard, but if texting were all I had, I'd use it.

One thing I've learned around here is that there are too many Christians who measure the validity and strength of their faith not based on what they like, but on what they hate.

It should be measured on the Bible ... nothing else.

Hating Stephen Hawking might score some brownie points in some minds...

Letters, actually -- and after one or two letters, an autocomplete algorithm similar to one on most smartphones suggests the complete word.

A translator device that follows eye movement
works much faster but is stationary.

Some phones do eye tracking but only for on and off
at this point.

He choses from a list of words. Good luck typing an entire book based on that technique.

It is not possible, the joke is on you. What a shame that so many are fooled.

Given being a good Christian, you wouldn't be lying to us, what book did Stephen Hawking write that's 10,000 pages long? I've been looking through Amazon, and the longest one I could find was only about 1,500 pages. At 2WPM @ 8 Hours per day that would only take a year to write assuming no predictive typing or editors help.

Stephen hawking has everything to do with evolution vs creation viewpoint.

And there was me thinking that Evolution was a biological theory. Far be it from me to question somebody with such a high scientific standing as your good self, so I will from now on fully accept that it is an astrophysical theory.
