As a clarification, all staff were informed of the beginning of the FSG update process. In addition your moderators (christian73, DarylFawcett, FreeinChrist, reddogs, Svt4Him, thecountrydoc, visionary) were PMed when the SDA-specific discussion thread was opened. Moderators were free to invite members to participate in the thread. I think that some moderators didn't realize it was intended to be an open discussion.

I apologize that I did not make it clear that moderators could invite members to join the discussion. The Congregational FSGs were first on the list of FSGs to update, and so some of the process has been unclear.

No harm, no foul.

Better late than never.

I am not a 'voting member' of this forum, but I have come to the same conclusion. I thought he would be much more even in his speech and actions. I wonder if we could look back at his Q and A before his appointment.

I actually voted for him as a mod and now I am wishing I hadn't, believe me. If I could somehow retract it, I would.

The warning signs were all there in his Q&A thread and I ignored them. Other Progs, who did not vote for him, saw what was coming and tried to warn me.

I foolishly decided to give him the benefit of the doubt!

My agenda in this discussion is for you to stop calling people non-Adventist who ARE Adventist and to stop treating them like dirt and calling it love.

If you really believe progressives are not Adventists then take your belief to the actual church and have Night etc. disfellowshipped. Until then he is an Adventist.

If I wanted to be a 'New York Yankee', I could do like Billy Crystal did the other day and get a 'one day contract' and play one game in the 'Grapefruit League' in Florida. So he is labeled as a 'New York Yankee', but at the end of a day, he doesnt play to help the team, doesnt play defense, or put up hits or RBI's, so he is just a 'New York Yankee' on paper just for his own purpose, whatever that may be...

Reddogs you do not hold a monopoly on Adventism or even Christianity so your attitude is exposed for what it is. You don't have a heaven or hell to put people in so get over the the who is a real Adventist label whether you like it or not Night and many other Progs are members of the same church as you.
