Moot question: squirrels do not have souls.

I'd take the chance and go out into the field. Now if there were no children to worry about, I'd probably wait a while and hope that the hawks would go away. The thing about this is that hawks want to kill a squirrel because there are little hawk children who need to eat. So nature can be cruel. Since I believe that there is a God, I'll believe that God knows what he is doing and that everything will fall into place as it should. I know that there is a prophecy in the Old Testament that the lion and the lamb will lie down together and a little child will lead them.

I personally believe that squirrels have souls. If there are trees and horses in Heaven, then there are probably squirrels there as well.

How do you know, heck I don't think you know what a soul is and will things fall in place like the Holocaust or Communist Russa did. How do you know the animals are going to heven and not Sugar Candy Mountain.

You know the children are smaller, maybe the hawks wouldn't see them.
