I am against the method. Its your freedom to wear a mask. I'd fight them and rather be arrested then take off my mask. And if they arrest me I'd sue them for violating my rights. There is no law that says I can't wear a mask. Especially in a digital age where one picture (or in this case video) means people can see your face and find you online and harass you.

For example, Anonymus all use the Guy Fawkes mask. I don't always agree with the group but I like they all use the same mask to stay anonymous. If you are forced to not wear a mask then I say change the laws so you can do nothing anonymous anymore. Like giving tips to the police and FBI. You have to prove who you are first. You'd see how fast people would chang their minds on the issue.

I agree, why hide behind a mask unless you're looking to start trouble?
Thats pretty much stereotyping. If I said "Why be a christian unless you want to tell others how to live?", how would you feel? We can't say a whole group os mask wearers are all bad and want trouble. If I had to protest to make sure my christian rights weren't violated. I'd wear a mask too.

In these cases they are trying to avoid people with masks harassing others, because it seems they feel more free to do so. It seems to be the theme lately. They aren't normally protestors, but trouble makers coming in for some fun. Both pro and against whatever the event is over have said the same thing. lol the only thing they can agree on!

Remember this is a college campus, and they are allowed to have rules while you are there.

It's the same when you enter let's say a concert venue. If you don't want to be searched or go through the metal detector? You can't get in, and if you refuse to leave...they will escort you out. If you want to be arrested? They will do that also if you really want it.

It would be the same in a city park. If they had a permit to have an event? They can place rules down for you to participate. Yes, there are laws that say you can't wear a mask under certain circumstances.

Sadly, the way things are going someone is going to get killed. I hope more events place these restrictions like this there.

Well they do have a history of vandalism and violence...

Why? Is there a law against protesting with a mask on?

There is no law against it. But hiding their identities is like online debating. The anonymity gives them courage to do and say things they wouldn't do without the disguise.

Cowards and bullies do such things in my opinion

Funny comment from someone who regularly participates in online debates. Would you support it if Christian Forums required all posters to post their real name and actual photo as an avatar?

"Participates" usually requires some form of give and take - so, for example, if someone posted a claim with no evidence to back it up, then ignored all questioning on the subject, it would be more akin to "drive by" debating than actual participation.

Funny comment, anyway!

As they say, no smoke without fire...

What are you hiding, "NothingIsImpossible", IF that even is your real name?

I'm hiding everything. I have a whole storage locker full of hidden stuff. Though Nothing Is Impossible is my real name.
I'd love to believe that, but an impeccable source on these forums has informed me that UNTIL WE SEE YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE, then you are basically some kind of traitor or something.

Tax returns would be nice too.

I can't show mine because I am from Luyten 726-8A, a star 8.4 light years away. I'd be dead before I made it back with my certificate. I also only file taxes with the AAHE (Andromeda Alliance of Human Explorers). Our counsel is on Proxima Centauri. Also to far to go to get them. I think our relay system to send info is down to so can't get it electronically. Drat.

The day that someone online can hit you over the head with a pole after spraying mace in your eyes, you'll have a fair comparison.

While that's not good, neither is having your personal information released online, your posts sent to employers, etc..the loss of the ability to post in anonymity would harm dialog here.

I have post d my photo, three times in fact. Twice are current ones and one was me as a baby.

And what I say here I say in public.

I think it would be awesome if we knew each other personally, it would change things.

By the way, the cowards in the masks are not just debating, but shouting obscenities and physically assaulting people and causing thousands of dollars in damages.

If they showed their faces they could be arrested for those crimes.

Here's a thought, if what you post anonymously online would adversely effect your job or social status in real life, maybe you shouldn't be posting it to begin with.

Then you are free to call them cowards and bullies, but they are not breaking the law.
