I'm not a fan of roasted greyhound...

Same reaction (not a sheep or goat) when I saw this. The back leg and shank doesn't look big enough and the hip/belly are too small. Greyhound would be about right. I hope not.

@cradleGO It definitely tasted like lamb. It was 16kg which is pretty big, so probably sheep rather than lamb. Would have preferred something in the 10-12kg range

Actually, it never occurred to me that the reason they sell the whole lamb without the head, might be so you can't identify the animal you've been supplied with . Still, it was very tasty whatever it was. Lots of salt, pepper, oregano and lemon, and lots more olive oil.

We managed to get a reasonable number of extended family together which we haven't been able to do the last few years. Hopefully we can make it a regular get together. The spit roast was a big hit, whatever it was we were eating :sunglasses:

I was in the capital of Albania last week at a restaurant where the meat was served... naturally. A friend actually got a half of a lamb’s skull with meat on it. My (younger) daughter was disgusted, we just shrugged it off.

and apparently, that hockey player’s merchandise sold out.

gives me a sliver of hope.
If I lived in the States, I definitely would have bought a jersey with his number on it.

We had 28 people at the mission this morning! Approximately 1/3 were small children, but we had our first "never been to an Orthodox service before" visitor and it's been a nice breath of fresh air. To paraphrase the great Humphrey Bogart, "of all the churches in all the Beltway, they came to mine!"
