Sorry I did not see any savages at the beach. I did, however, get a couple of really cool photographs of the Cleveland skyline with the 28-200 lens on my SLR. Once I get my computer up and running I will scan them in and post one of them on line.

Ever notice that Guinness tastes way different/better out of the tap than the bottle?

I've noticed that with every type of beer I've tasted. I always ask for my beer from the tap.

Sure is... in fact there's all kinds of people that get together and take the Polar Bear plunge. I've, uh, done it once... if doing it by accident counts.

Oliver, my 9 year old English Toy Spaniel, once did that. He was walking across the water garden and the ice gave way and he fell into the pond. I have never seen a dog jump up out of cold water so quickly!

This thunderstorm we just had has left me with a throbbing headache. I've had it all day. My cranium is a sure indicator of the weather.

Same thing with Guinness in the can too.... very peculiar to Guinness in fact. Its the only brand I can tolerate out of a can.

LOL, must have been a sight. As for me, I was hiking along an iced over creek when I stepped in some underbrush that was concealing part of the creek.... my sleeping bag was VERY cold and wet that night.

It's a wonder he survived.

He ran very quickly into the house! It is more a wonder that he survived his hair cut yesterday. For the first time in 7 years I actually managed to nick him with the scissors while trimming his ears. His poor long floppy tongue now has more scars than a pro athlete does!

Bah! I have a presentation tomorrow and I was going to make transparencies but none of the stores around here had them. I really can't get anywhere else. What now? Justice? Death? Find a way to do the presentation by writing everything on the board? Not cool! Time-consuming. I have time-constraints.

Oh well, overhead projectors are really lame anyway.

I had a friend who hit a deer. She was more upset about the deer (killed) than the car (totaled). Sounds like how I'd be if I ever hit a deer.

Me too. I once took a wrong turn going up a mountain and a good thing too, because I was driving slowly trying to figure out where I was going, and a whole family (or herd, or whatever) of large deer walked across the road. My friend and I sat in silence...I guess I'd just say it was unforgettable. And one time there were a bunch of deer in the empty lot near the apartment I lived in. They had traffic stopped...in a residential neighborhood! Now that empty lot is an office building.

Oh, and speaking of cars, Father went out to bless one of the parishioner's cars this past Sunday, and ended up blessing everyone's cars. Quite a jovial experience, and important to me, as I tend to be a nervous driver.

The Car Finale: It can't be fixed. Or, it will cost more to fix it than the car is worth. I basically have to just get used to it not starting every once in a while.
