I was a Water Control Officer at one time with our Dept of Water Affairs, and I lived amongst the farmers, 200 miles from the nearest city and 8 miles from a hard top road.J

Anyhow, one of the farmers gave me a live sheep once as a present. I could not slaughter it myself. So I took it to another farmer friend who did the dastardly deed himself, and even had the meat cut up into chops and cutlets, etc.

I couldn't have even done that, myself. I would have had to have kept it as a pet! That sheep would have lived as high on the hog as any sheep ever!

Which beach do you like? It's been a long time since I've seen the Atlantic. How are the waves?

I remember going to Foley Beach and almost being swept under when I dove underwater to avoid those nasty gnats.

They really couldn't give me an estimate yet. But I'm pretty sure it will be manageable. I just hate having to get a ride from someone else. I feel kind of helpless you know...like if smth happened right now (God forbid!), I wouldn't be able to leave and get anywhere.

Isn't there a group of viril men who brave the elements in the dead of winter and go swimming?

That isn't my style. I cannot take the cold and would have to be rescued.

Hmmm...sounds like a change of pace. But I am a pacifist....as proof, I have a shield but I don't know how to equip it, let alone use it. I mean, it says it's equipped, but it doesn't appear to be "showing up." So I have to rely on folks being really bad swordsmen (and women).

So, if you are a pacifist (and most Orthodox do not want to shed blood), then you can always choose the job of monk here at CF (and earn blessings). Then your shield will be the Holy Bible and Cross. (See Lotar's signature.)

Hi Eric, how are ya today?

The Car Finale: It can't be fixed. Or, it will cost more to fix it than the car is worth. I basically have to just get used to it not starting every once in a while. The guy showed me the magic spot that makes it start. It's some sort of problem in the steering column. The gear shifter is just worn out and doesn't hit that spot exactly right sometimes. At least he didn't charge me for any labor.
