Well, I'm in bed again today and my nerves are not happy. But I have an invalid kitten next to me, so that makes two of us - he got thoroughly beaten up the other night which left him with a dislocated hip. So he's on cage rest, but as long as he's curled up on the bed next to me and not moving that's okay. My electric blanket is on so no cat in its right mind will move from the warrrrrmmmmmm anyway 
I was asked to submit work to an exhibition of needlework as part of a state Living Artists festival, which runs for the month of August, and yesterday was the opening, with champagne and lots of people! Here's me with each piece:
Peaceful Paradise (the biggest piece you can see here, with the black frames in the embroidery and text and pictures within them)
and A Restful Night
I'm happy
I was asked to submit work to an exhibition of needlework as part of a state Living Artists festival, which runs for the month of August, and yesterday was the opening, with champagne and lots of people! Here's me with each piece:
Peaceful Paradise (the biggest piece you can see here, with the black frames in the embroidery and text and pictures within them)

Kyriaki, I love the stuff
Okay, two weeks of learning Arabic and so far...
-I can finally read right to left without getting a headache.
-I can read most words and pronounce most of them like Syrians would... sort of.
-I am still getting more and more confused after each day (but we're told that "this is normal").
-I can finally put simple sentences together such as, "my dog is an engineer in the Air Force".
And I have my first test this Thursday
It is only Tuesday night and I already need the weekend!
Other than that, life is good

Well, I made cookies today.
LOL that is what I did this morning too, before heading to work. Only I made chocolate & peanut butter chip cookies. My nephew was even nice enough to not eat them all, so I have some cookies to take for lunch tomorrow.
