Hmm. We've had a record-breaking heatwave this summer where I'm located.

I'm glad that things are starting to cool off though. When I went on my run today, it was 77 degrees and lightly raining. Very refreshing.

77 would be lovely It's 19*C here at the moment which I think is about the low 60s offhand, but I might be wrong.

We have sunshine today at least

And relationship drama seems to have eased somewhat - as long as I give him some space for a few days, please God, it should be ok.

Also, my herbal tonic and alcohol don't mix. I found that out last night. The cocktail I'd had before taking my medicine was nice though - ginger wine and lime, yum.

Well since we are still on weather

The ground is soggy, standing water everywhere. There's some weak sun [ it comes and goes ] sky is ominously grey and temp is about 60 outside . That's probably over-optimistic since the sensor is in my sunlounge .

OH and weeds are growing again - though far less where I managed to get the weed killling spray, after my grandson did such sterling work

Yay, the seaside Hope it's nice weather.

I went shopping with my Mum today for sheets - I needed new bedsheets (thrilling, just picked two block colours and was done) but then we had to find a new duvet cover for her and my Dad. Hoo boy. They have a dusty pink room with aquamarine curtains (it works, mostly) and Dad didn't want florals. And you need someting interesting and not beige because it's a big, sparsely decorated room. But we found something it's a beige tree on a white background, with beautiful embroidered (and realistic) birds in a few colours including the aquamarine. SCORE. And Dad likes it!

Pretty dead now though. My Mum wanted to go clothes shopping after and asked for a chair for me in each store which I've never thought of before but was wonderful. Anytime I'm not standing up is good!

It's commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but that's both inaccurate and well...it makes it sound like it's less seriously than it is (everyone's had times they felt tired all the time, but this is a long way beyond that) and it also implies that it's all in my head. It really, really isn't!

It's basically like having mono pretty badly...for years on end. Fun. I've been sick for four and a half years now, with good and bad patches, this is a bad one.

I remember when ME was fist acknowledged it was referred to as 'Yuppy Flu'. Very disrespectfully.

ME is a horrible condition and you have my are with you. But well done you for not letting it beat you. That shows great fortitude of spirit and eetermination...
