  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

LOL! The trip to the botanical garden last weekend was my "birthday" day to relax and do what I wanted. Jack took care of Allie the whole time while I spent the day pressing the shutter button.

LOL! Sounds familiar. I get a whole weekend of shutterbugging while Mrs. G. takes care of the pregnant dog who is due on the 29th.

My entire music library vanished from my computer. It definitely wasn't a machine malfunction. It was a Heather-malfunction. I thought that mommy-brain would have been getting better by now, but no. It isn't. That's somewhere between 7000 and 8000 songs that are gone.

Project "Re-Build My Music Library" has commenced.

pray for me. I just graduated with an engineering degree and there is no job in sight. I'm also trying to find a way to get into grad school for philosophy, but I don't really know what the Lord wants me to do. It will be a dark time for a while. I will have a job with a moving company with hard labor but they will only pay $8/hr (I worked for the same company and started at $10/hr in another location). Pray for me, I feel myself losing hope.

You might want to look into working as a builder's laborer for a bit. You may find an opening in the company that way but it will also round out your education with the very practical side of construction. Although I don't know what sort of engineer you are. This would not be very practical for an Aeronautical Engineer for example :p

Are you my doppleganger or something? My music server also crashed last night, thankfully I have a few backup copies though.

I've had a really hard day. I think the stress is getting to me. My husband is losing his job in July and my 11 year old is on psych release from school for the rest of the year after a really nasty meltdown at school last week (from which I have several lovely bruises).

I'm tired. I know everyone tells me that God doesn't give us more than we can handle, but sometimes I wonder... can't it be someone elses turn? Don't I have enough crap to deal with already?

My prayers. Parenting is so difficult these days.

Did you read the reports that shows a correlation between pesticides in blueberries and other produce and hyperactivity in children?

I am not surprised. I am also chemically sensitive.

Since I started to eat organic produce, I do feel better.
Since I stopped eating soy, I do not have continual hives like I used to.

But I have so many food allergies, that I do not know what I can eat. God will provide even if I have to live on Holy Communion alone.
