God Bless it. I love the NYC school sytem. I went to the best Public High School ever. And now I go to one of the most affordable universities (The tuition outways the negatives)

However, visiting Russia and FInland and Sweden and I'm guessing Norway too... you'll see people take dips in the icy waters at any time (there are even official ice dip places in Finland) for percieved health reasons.

Apparently there are studies it's good for cardiovascular health (you are supposed to not have any major heart issues doing it). Of course the die hards go in the sauna first at 150 degrees and then into the ice cold water... Not so much for me!

I love the school/college system here, too - holy week is the first week of fall break (we get two weeks) for me. YES!

Also my sister got back from the UK today bearing gifts. A Tesco reusable shopping bag with ladybugs on it, tea, notebooks, quill pens, fun stuff. Oh and a hoodie for me - pale blue from The Globe, with a shakespeare quote about "hoods do not monks make" on it which makes me giggle.

We're glad to have her back after three weeks.
