Thank you! St. Theodore and St. John of Damascus' icons are about 3/4 done. They are a matching pair so I am working on them together.

As for the beer drinking, my beer is getting to be pretty popular with my friends. The batch I am going to brew tomorrow is Vanilla Dopplebock and the batch the day after will be Blueberry Dopplebock. The beer which is in fermentation right now is Moca (Chocolate/Coffee) Stout.

I just found out that the new St. Nicholas of Myra movie has been postponed yet another year. It was supposed to come out this Christmas.

This was Sam. He used to be the reigning champion for World's Ugliest Dog. I think he passed away a little bit ago.

Well I am pleased to report that the inaugaral meeting for Orthodox Young Professionals was a success! We had a good turn out of 15 people, plus quite a few called expressing interest, even though they could not attend tonight's meeting.

Overall, I am very pleased.

God has richly blessed us.

Well, tonight I made a pizza that I thought would be my masterpiece...


...only to have it turn out in disappointment.


It was almost the end of the night and there was an extra pizza dough from earlier, so of course I take the liberty of making my own.
It started out fairly normal and seemed like it would be a great pizza.
Red sauce, BBQ sauce, BBQ pulled pork, pepperoni, meatballs, prosciutto, carmalized onions and of course mozzarella cheese. (disclaimer: don't read if hungry! )

I think it would be a lot better without the BBQ pulled pork and maybe even without the BBQ sauce. Or maybe a little less sauce and no pork... hmm... another time.
I'm trying to take the 'key' ingredient that makes each pizza great and make like an "ultimate" pizza. So far, I've had limited success. Maybe some ricotta cheese would workout...

Its going to be bad during the fasts when I'm making pizzas that have anywhere from three to five meats on them. God willing I'll survive.
