What brands have you had?

I should probably have amended my comment to state: cherry beer not specifically cherry wheat beer...at any rate...I've run the gamut. I'll start with the only one that most Americans seem to know...the inexcusable Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Blah.

I've had:

New Belgium Old Cherry
Lindemans Kriek
Liefmans Biere de Cerises
3 Fonteinen Kriek
Boon Oude Kriek
Hannsens Oude Kriek
Kasteel Rouge
etc

I think what the story is...is that I really don't care for lambic beer (but I will try anything once!)

Washington DC is overflowing with access to random and hard to find beer, Belgian and otherwise. That is what I miss most. :(

Michael I love Thursdays because I get to eat cake :) This one has two pounds of ricotta, half a pound of butter, almond meal, eggs, marsala, figs and chocolate in it.

It's incredibly rich and incredibly good.

Unlike we French, those guys overseas find it cool to mix wine with fruit juices of all kinds and sweeteners, hence the name "wine cooler".

Ok...I'll grant you that the American taste for "wine coolers" is pretty inexcusable. However....I'd love to hear an excuse for why the French drink so much Kronenberg...that stuff is like the Bud of Europe. Nasty.

Here in Pittsburgh I have access to all kinds of great beer, American and foreign. I was even able to find a beer for Jenn the Finn that is very, very hard to find. She was tickled pink when we found a case of it at my local beer distributor. The only way I can get New Belgium is to visit my brother in law in Texas and ship it back and I sometimes do that because my wife is a HUGE fan of 1554. Not all fruit infused beers are Belgian lambics, but it does take a really good fruit beer to win me over. That is why I am experimenting with adding a small ammoung of fruit to the Dopplebock beer I brew, to see if I like it or not. But, like you said, I will try brewing any beer once, and if I like it then I will make subsequent batches.

An excuse for Kronenbourg ? Let me think...

Well, I can't find any. I humbly ask you to forgive my people for producing this outrageous beverage :sorry:

A bambino, a bambino or a bambino? Any of those three?

I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I tested at home yesterday and it was positive. :) Couple that with all the fatigue, nausea and crazy sense of smell...and there ya have it. :) I am with bambino.

I didn't know crazy sense of smell was a symptom of pregnancy?

Have you begun having the cravings for very strange combinations of food yet?

Bells makes a regular cherry beer, I think. I find most of their offerings (particularly Bells Oberon) to be underwhelming. However, PA gets my "yay beer" vote simply for being the home of Troegs Brewing Co.
