aww the pooper scoopers do more than just pooper scoop...my oldest worked part time in a vet's office doing that...but she also got to play with the animals that were there while their owners were on vacation and help out a lot with the animals who didn't feel well...she thought it was very rewarding

I do hope you get the job!

Yeah, she said that I would be feeding, cleaning, and playing with the animals too. And also that I would help go through the adoption applications to help approve good applicants and help match them up with a pet. I have no doubt it would be a rewarding job. She told me that there are about 200 animals dropped off every week. It might rattle me a bit when they have to euthanize some of the animals though.

I hope I get the job too.

Well if there are any UMB Bank Branches near ya'll they're looking for tellers...at any branch...gettin' desperate enough to raise the referral bonus too...

Just a thought...good benefits, health, dental, optical, 401, profit sharing after 1 year, 120 hours of PTO for the first 3 years, then to 160...some guys have 7 weeks of PTO...

oh 1/2 price safety deposit boxes, free interest bearing checking, free checks, money orders, cashier's checks etc...

ummm trying to think of other perks, but not all of 'em are comin' to mind...

If I worked for the humane society I would end up buying a huge house with a huge lot of land and then adopting every single cocker spaniel that couldn't find a home as well as a few bulldogs! Mrs. G. knows to keep me away from the cocker spaniel and bulldog rescue pages as the dog population of our house would increase constantly!

The kennel that we keep our cocker spaniel puppy Ruutu at when we leave town is in love with her. Every time I go pick her up from the kennel they tell me that Ruutu can stay there any time we need to take her there. If only they knew what a terrorist she really is when playing with my 3 english toy spaniels!

Hei folks . Just returned from a short business trip to Copenhagen.

This coming Sunday it'll be a year since we lost my mum. I've had a lot in my mind recently, so I'm not too emotionally affected, plus it really is part of life after all - but if any of you people could spare half a second of prayer for her soul these days, I'm sure she'll appreciate and reciprocate. I can give the name by PM if you need it. Thanks.

Hi Kreik. May your mum's memory be eternal! :crosseo: PM her name to me.

The relics of St Seraphim of Sarov are in Athens at the moment and on Sunday virtually the whole of the Russian parish is going to the church where they are being kept to sing a moleben.:) St Seraphim pray for us!:crosseo:

Thanks everyone for the prayers for work! I really neeed them. There is a possibility I might be getting involved working on the Great Orthodox Christian Encyclopedia. I'll definitely have work in a few years time when they translate it into English (It will be 12 volumes!) At the moment they are compiling the Greek one and it will then be translated in to Russian. Please keep praying cos there is a chance they might need me to work on the Greek edition as well.

Hello Taverna

So this past Sunday was Family Worship (meaning no Sunday school). As my son (3 yrs old) is standing during the Liturgy, he noticed the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ icon. We ended up discussing it at some point and he pointed out that Jesus looked sad in the picture and he thinks it could be because He is bleeding in it. Then I asked my son, "Do you want to know why Jesus is sad and bleeding?" and of course he said yes. So, I said what any good Orthodox parent would say, "Then you must continue coming to Church to learn the story behind that picture." :ebil:

And heterodox question why we have icons....:p
