Hello?!.......hello.....hello.........hello.....

It's been a crazy week. My friend is going through an unfortunate situation (ugly divorce) and needed somewhere for her and her three children to stay. We welcomed them in, of course. But it's been cramped in our little two bedroom apartment with me, the hubby, her and the five children (my two and her three)! Not complaining....but it will be nice tonight to have all my pillows back. I require three to sleep comfortably.

*sigh

Still haven't found a job.

AS you know, Photini, I can definitely relate to your situation. Over the past months you can't imagine how many times it has seemed like a door was opening only for nothing to happen, but that means one thing: God has something better.
I know one thing for sure: God knows what we need and when we need it. He has never forsaken us and never will. When I started reminding myself of this fact everyday, I really stopped worrying about things that are beyond my control and just left everything to God. The hardest thing is handing over control to God and admitting that without Him we can do nothing. But truly this is freedom! I knew that when my scholarship finished about six months ago (which was the only "fixed income" I had, though hardly enough to live on) God was saying: Now you've got to trust Me! I may never have any money (I'm lucky if I ever have more than about 30 Euros) but God always provides for all my needs. God provides me with orders for icons the moment I need them. I also paint faces of porcelain dolls and I can't count how many times a bill would arrive, I'd make the sign of the cross over it, and soon after I'd get a phonecall, asking if they can bring me more dolls to paint! And it would be exactly enough to pay the bill!
So don't worry, trust in God, He only leaves us till the last moment...but only He knows when the last moment is He never gives us a cross greater than we can bear, but we often forget that we can't bear it without His help. And God certainly won't overlook your generosity and hospitality towards your friend and will bless you abundantly for it. You're in my prayers. Pray to St Xenia of St Petersburg as she helps in finding work

i am not good at all with math, but if I ever want to take beer brewing seriously and open my own brewery to get certified as a master brewer you must take classes in calculus, physics, organic chemistry and microbiology. Yuck, yuck, double yuck and even more YUCK!
