I think it would be fun to write a book. I knew an author, and she literally had to go into her home office, close the door, not allow anyone in unless the house was on fire, and barracade herself for months. She was a published author. I guess if the book were that good, it would be worth that effort.

It's fun to write children's stories (that's my area of expertise). Writing a non-fiction book geared to adults is intimidating. That's cool that your friend is a published author. I only pray that God will place His hand on this situation for me. What a way to have your words affect people...at least to me.

Well, folks I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I get to work the two busiest days next week!

The bad is that they are Friday and Saturday which means it may be a while until I go to Vespers.

Fortunately, I know the bus routes fairly well as well as Fr's email. I'll have to talk to him and figure something out for confession.

Fortunately if the managers are ever possessed enough to do so, I'll raise all kinds of heck if scheduled to work a Sunday morning.

Hopefully I'll have Pascha and the day before off since I've requested them and since I do not request a lot of days off, it should happen. That and the managers like me since I keep tables clean and keep busy.

I cannot drive due to double vision from a partially paralyzed CN VI, so I am dependent on my faithful husband who does not always feel well enough to travel. Pray for him too.

Doctors think that my double vision which I have had since 2001 is from a ministroke, but there is the slight possibility that it could be a tumor. I was just recently diagnosed with it because I just thought it was blurry vision and my doctor misdiagnosed it as something else because he failed to test it with a red light. Then when he did test me for double vision, he thought it was congenital. A neurologist did more tests and found the paralyzed 6th cranial nerve. Please pray.

Hello friends! I'm doing fine.

I do still have a cat....two cats in fact. The cat I had when I lived in FL is with my cousin. I didn't think that the long move would be good for her. My cousin takes VERY good care of her.

Now I have "Jones" the tuxedo cat (who I've had for about a year) and "Samwise", who I just adopted about 3 weeks ago. He's 7 months old and very kittenish. They tend to get along very well even though they have very opposite personalities.

Prayers Elizabeth. You are in mine always. I know that when i get bad news I think of the blessings... You can still see and that is a blessing. My dad cannot walk anymore well, only very short (inside the house) distances (it hurts me to think of his limitation) but he is a better sport about it. He says .."at least I can still walk, thank God". It is so vain to think that we (the younger ones) will not suffer and be limited in our activities... the sooner we do the better... as to try to count our blessings and enjoy our lives as they are. We should be thankful for what we have and for what is lacking in our lives as what we lack makes us stronger and rejoice for what we have

Things are relatively good. I had to leave college and thus lost access to Teh Interwebs. I have access sporadically at my father-in-law's house (yes, I got married; six months on 3/3/08) and at the library. But, I'm back now!
