See this I don't get... I really like to have the company (and the safety) of having my husband along. However, I know he isn't as thrilled about shopping as I am so either he brings a book he's working on or I will offer to buy him one to read. Then he will place himself on a chair or bench in the general area of shops I'll be looking in. When I'm done shopping in that area he'll help me carry the bags to the next area and repeat. He doesn't mind coming at all and doesn't mind carrying the bags if he just gets to sit and read. He loves reading and doesn't mind if he does it in the mall. If there is something I can't decide on, I'll take it to the door of the store and show him (I will either call him or walk out without the stuff to get his attention). I mean, in the end the guy's opinion doesn't give all that much feed back (sorry guys  ) but sometimes he sees which color works better if it's between two sweaters of the same kind or so. Or if it's that really expensive cashmere sweater we need to justify buying...so if he thinks it looks good then it's a go (and he can't say anything :p ).
On the other hand I put up with listening to plane talk with his buddies so I think it's just fair game. But I'd rather keep him happy coming with me than make it a cruddy situation.

I do hate the mall, don't think it's ever going to change. The being allowed to sit thing just wouldn't work because, again under the pretense of spending quality time you have to "spend time." I honestly thing this is just one of those issues that goes on in the minds of women. Like, for example, she feels obligated to come to my hockey games. I've tried a million times to explain that I know she doesn't care for the cold rink nor does she really get the game. As such if she doesn't want to go she doesn't have to. However, she feels obligated in the same way I think she thinks I should feel obligated to go on shopping trips. I don't have any problem with the idea of compromising or spending time the way she wants to spend it. But I just really hate the mall.
I do respect the fact that with 30 different stores marketing their own lines of hookerware it's hard to find modest clothing especially if you're an average or smaller size. But again, I just hate the mall.

Week 2 of school completed! Lots of things learned, and while I'm UBER stressed, there're enough positive things happening to balance out the negative. I love my kids (even the bad ones who need to get their butts wacked once in a while.)

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm back in the USA!!!! I'll be in VA tomorrow evening. They misplaced one of my bags but hopefully it will return tomorrow or Sunday. Fortunately the one I had packed my toiletries and clothes for tomorrow made it.

Well, it's time for a sleeping pill and some serious ZZZ!

Have a good night!!!

My dad finally decided to go to the doctor...it turns out he has a rare case of pneumonia which has flu-like symptoms. :crosseo:

This is the time you should be taking care of your mother, who will be taking care of your father . . . I will pray for all of you. My dh had pneumonia 4 years ago. Let me just say that my whole family was strengthened by this experience. :)

God Bless

Hey all, while golfing today I had a 70 foot shot to the green, out of deep rough and over a sand trap that I sunk right into the hole. I did not believe it when my dad said it went in until I walked over and saw for myself. We played 18, but that was the shot of the game for me.

The golfcourse we played on had some spectacular scenery. Next time I play there I am taking my 35 mm Nikon SLR with me to get some photographs.
