Yes, that is an old one! Good to see you again, Heather!

:clap:
Heather, if you do catch up with Eric (aka Jameseb) remind him it is about time for our annual 5 month session of weekly football smack talking!!! :D

Will do. :thumbsup:

Wow! That's early. My kids have 2 more weeks until school starts. The first day of kindergarten can be difficult. It took about 2-3wks before my oldest got used to it. Then he couldn't wait for Mondays. He's so exicted to be starting 2nd grade this year.

yeah...I thought it was early myself...but the kids here seem to get days off for everything...so I guess they have to make up the time somewhere...

I've been moving furniture around for the last several days. Between helping ppl move, and driving around to grap the (good condition and working) stuff left behind from the Great College-Student Migration Moveout that happens every August (for myself and others, we managed to get 2 loveseats, a loft bed, an upholstered chair, a heavy oak dining table, 4 chairs that match each other to go around it, an expensive area rug, half a dozen torchiere lamps, power cables for a computer, a set of computer speakers, a pool table, gambling surfaces (like craps), a wood-armed futon, 3 end/coffee tables, a bookcase, and a handful of odd and ends,) I'm pretty tired.

It's AMAZING that you dont need to buy ANYTHING to furnish a home if you're here at the right time of the year, but it's also saddening to see how much usuable stuff is thrown away. People throw out clothes, kitchen goods, food, and just about everything. If they took the time to drop it off at goodwill, much could be given to the poor.

When I moved into my old apartment in ohio the girl who lived there before me left me all kinds of cleaning supplies and saran wrap, and aluminum foil and stuff that I would need when I first got there. She said she would do that because she was happy I was moving in when I did and that meant she didn't have to pay an extra months rent for breaking the lease.

Hi Annabel!

How is Father Paul doing?

I haven't been able to get back to the church, summer was busier than expected.

I plan on going again though.

::hangs head in shame:

Did make it to a nearby Greek Orthodox Church liturgy a few weeks back.
I'm finding it difficult to juggle Catholic masses with the Orthodox liturgies. My 12 year old just doesn't want to miss Mass and I don't want to disappoint her.
