Good morning to those who think I need a new custom title, to those who rejoice that the graphics are fixed, to those who read my greetings with a french accent :D , to those who kindly gave me suggestions for the wedding present I have to buy (gift certificates being a good one ! thanks ! ), to those who find that Jenny sending the book is awesome with a capital A, baby, and deserves a thread, and are not worthy cause I've outdone myself and want to welcome back Greg with a gallon of holy water and expect Jennie to find a girlfriend for them, to those who did not understand that Michael's birthday was not yesterday, but is actually in 3 days, to those who relax and want to eat everything and think of trying chewing gums, to those who will be more sporadic from now on and will say hello from Iceland, to those who go to a nun's monastery for a pilgrimage because they love nuns and think they're wise, to those who want to join the sleepyheads in their bed but have to go to the dentist, and to other friends.

My day can now begin now that Emmanuel has updated me on all the Taverna Posts since I was last logged on.

(you really do save me some time flipping through posts!)

My son's going whitewater rafting in WV tomorrow morning and will be gone until Thursday night, so I'm taking the rest of this week off of work to just "vacate" (and burn up vacation time I will lose if I don't take it!).

Howdy there!

Greetings from Copenhagen! Had a lovely meal at the airport (this airport rocks) and now heading over to Sweden (Gothenburg). Quick flight there but it's taking them forever to post the gate so I'm just logging on the WIFI here and surfing about killing time (so I don't go shopping for anything else LOL).
Tomorrow morning I get to see my new car!!! I'll have them take a picture and I'll post it when I have a chance :D .

Have a good one! I'm off....

Matrona,

I can relate. It's easier for me to buy my ADD meds (controlled substance, can't get a refill by phone), but when I want to buy my Claritin-D or cold meds, I have to fill out a bunch of papers and they swipe my drivers license. Especially since all pharmacies that I've talked to about the pseudoephedrine stuff say no one has ever wanted to see any lists, nor do they turn them in anywhere. So it's basically just paperwork...

Didn't spend that much time in Copenhagen... I've seen the mermaid many, many years ago. Now I'm Gothenburg and waiting for it to be late enough for me to go to bed. Funny thing is that the European Championships in Track n'Field are here and I had totally forgotten about it. So there's tons of people around and I'm tempted to walk to the stadium and get a ticket. On the other hand, there's a nice soaking tub in the room and after being up for a while (although I snoozed for quite a bit of the trip...but still) a bath sounds like a good plan right now. Then it's sleeping pill time and off to bed I go. Volvo will pick me up at 8 tomorrow morning and then I have about 7 hrs of driving ahead of me so I'd better be awake and aware. Whoo...

For Accutane, I have to fill out all these forms, tell everyone and his brother about my menstrual cycle, pee on this, give blood here, take tests on the risks of the drug (which I have to pass or else get locked out from getting my prescription for 30 days), and do ALL of it in a very particular order with time limits and so on.

All because if you get preggers while you're on it, the baby might be deformed. There's also a minuscule chance that you might go blind, deaf, psychotic, or suicidal because of the drug.

actually, accutane is horribly dangerous for pregnant folk. it's the sort of drug that if it comes in contact with your skin [ie, you touch it], there is a risk of deformities. if you take, it's not so much a risk as a certainty. it permanently changes the way your genes express themselves. it's pretty heavy stuff.

The other day the clearance bin in Publix had a nice collection of cold medicines, many for children, some with pseudoephedrine. They were seriously cheap, some as low as $0.67 USD per large bottle for the generics, and $1.50 for the name brands. I scarfed up about 6 of them and of course the Smurf detector stopped me from checking out. Even though I had the Athos look going on, I was able to convince the store manager to hand ring them up for me

The thing that ticks me off is the pseudoephedrine laws only stop those with legal stuffy noses, and not the Smurfs and their upline customers.

What I read said that there was a 1/3 chance of deformities if Accutane is accidentally taken during pregnancy. I know 1/3 is a lot for someone who's at risk of becoming preggers, but it doesn't sound like a huge risk to someone like me who's extremely unlikely to get preggers in the first place. :p

I have to get a pregnancy test every month and it's so humiliating, especially since I have a young-looking face and my marital status is "single". I have to specify two methods of birth control, and you have to call the manufacturer to figure out how they want you to specify if yours is "abstinence".
