I am well. I had alot of fun at the Icon Festival this past weekend.

Did you give your Icon talk? How did it go?

I was in Knoxville, TN this past weekend. It went VERY well. Michael and I fell in love with the area and it looks like a pretty sure thing that that is where we'll be moving when the time comes. We visited an OCA church there for the Liturgy on Sunday, and really felt good about that church too.

Morning crowd!

Gonna crawl back into bed in a little and nurse my oncoming migraine. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and hope Great Lent is going well. I will finally make it to pre-Sanctified this evening.
Now if this insane wind would calm down a bit I'd be happy. UGH! Don't even want to open the windows as it whirls so bad around every corner. They said gusts up to 50mph possible today.
Still have to pick up the doggies from the boarding kennel today... It'll be good to have them back. :)

Hi everybody! Thanks for all the prayers! I am feeling much better today. You can't get a better combination than prayers and Tylenol 3's! There is still a little blood but it is pretty much stopped thanks be to God!

I hope everyone else is feeling well today too! It is soooo beautiful out today, I had to run out the door without my coat and I didn't freeze to death! :D

I gave my talk and it was very well received. I did not use any notes for it. I was very disappointed about the low turnout for the festival, however.

Charitina, those look good--of what are they made?

It is Divinity fudge with California walnuts, and rolled in cocoa powder. They are delicious, and very addicting. Unfortunately, I cannot eat them right now. :(

With all the sleep I have been getting, I can't believe I got sick. Pooh. I'm feeling mostly ok, only a little cruddy, but I want it to go away NOW.

If it's a cold, Zicam will take it away in 2 days ... sometimes less if you've been taking B Complex vitamins regularly. Vitamin C too... helps.

I just saw the movie "Terminal" with Tom Hanks (rented DVD). I was so pleased to see him use the Orthodox Cross (of course he didn't say any prayers standing up or anything, but it was still cool.) It was especially cool as his character was so gentle and meek and a prime example to the world of a true Christian.

Of course as soon as it was over I came to CF to find out we had four foul trolls plastering obscentities everywhere!

But it was a nice moment while it lasted.

Oooh, I thought they were light and airy things. The white fudge looked like meringue for something. I'm not a fan of fudge or white chocolate-y things--too sugary, blech.

Gah, why why why am I still awake? I'm getting up at 8am, and it's now 3:36. I wanted to go to bed at 12, but I haven't yet felt the tiniest bit sleepy. Isn't that horrid?

I guess I'll sleep well tomorrow night, if I manage to go the day without napping. I hope I'm not cranky :(

Well, it's not spring yet! And being in the mountains in the eastern US there's a good chance spring comes a bit slowly.

But hey, even France is way more northerly than here--cold there, ouais? I was in France a few summers ago, and it was really cool seeing how light it stayed outside well into the night. In the US, even in the most northern places (excepting Alaska) it never stays light past 8:30-9pm or so, but in France it was light well after 10pm.

I did not realize there was so much difference. France and the north of US are on the same latitude, arent they ?

SSSSH - I'm heading to the Midi Pyrenees next week - and we can have 4 seasons in one day there. :(

I would like it to be dry - I can cope with cold but Vertical , horizontal and diagonal rain all at the same time [ as I've met there :( ] is a real pain . I do NOT want to be drippping wet when talking with my SF.

Yes they are, but the climate of Europe and that of the United States are very different from each other.
