  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Thanks Amadeus. There are many people on here that are hurting and it's good to see people on here uplifting them. Unfortunately I've been somewhat cynical this last year and it has showed in some of my posts.
We all have our bad times and that certainly is one of the reasons that He gave us each other. If only we could always remember that!

Being alone can be a trial and sometimes hard to endure. I had to apply some of the regimen that I learned in CoDA years ago and that is some of the things that you mentioned SG. The detachment, laying boundaries and self esteem. The biggest comfort was knowing that God was there for me and that I could endure this past year being alone. It drove me back to reading the bible and digesting His word.

It's still tough though.
Rad, I can see you have allowed HOPE to lift you up, placing great trust in The Mercy of Our Lord and using the WORD to fill your minds thoughts. This is what pleases Him most. You are already benefiting as you are not afraid to approach Him. Thank you so much for sharing here with others who may be experiencing a similar path in life.

If we can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then we can say to God at night...."My day was not in vain. And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.”

I hope that you Radman are having a Super Day.

With alones usually comes loss. Loss of dreams, expectations, companions, and sometimes the loss of the worldly affects of a life of hard work. If you have experienced a loss, you know losing hurts. It makes no difference what type of loss you experience, losing hurts because what you had or what you hoped for in the past is somehow gone or diminished. It serves no purpose to tell yourself you do not hurt from a loss when the truth is otherwise. When we lose, we must remember we can always deal with the loss. When we lose, we may never fully recover from the loss but we can recover enough to move on and move forward. Many of the great contributions to the world come at times when others have hurt the most from a loss because the contributors found hope. We must also remember even when we hurt from the loss; we still have the capability to live today and tomorrow as a result of our hope. After a loss, we still have the capability to live again despite the searing pain we feel. Over time, with prayer and with a humble heart, the pain of our losing begins to heal as hope begins to restore our heart. Although we may hurt deeply in a loss, we can learn to live and be productive again. Once we find HOPE, we can learn to live in new ways and live in new times, even when the new times are quite different than the old times.

Your words comforted me Springrain and I wasn't even the one expressing a need. God has richly blessed hasn't He?

I am glad to share with you Amadeus because I know that you live this in your heart.

A rational mindset cannot comprehend the dynamics of faith . In order to trust God for anything, we must first believe that He exists. Whoever comes to God must believe that He is, and that He rewards those who diligently seek to know Him.

Those who do not have faith cannot see past the physical world around them. They are limited by their temporal circumstances and are blind to what God is doing. But those who open their spiritual eyes can see the spiritual realities which transcend this world. Their hope is in God's Strength. Faith in God gives us hope for the future. And when lifted by this hope up and out of depression, anxiety and dispaire...HOPE and FAITH feel pretty wonderful. From this comes our PRAISE that Our God Is So Great.

Hebrews 11

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

and "hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:5)

I have often observed how it is in the hard times, the difficult times especially that God can seem so near. Maybe because the heart cries out, and knows that nothing else will suffice but God?

Yes, in these times especially lean on Him. He promises that He will never leave us or forsake us. He is with us, even to the end of time...

"Yet in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither life nor death, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord," Romans 8:37-39

Who needs a blessing this morning? You and I.....
If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keep the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people.

Good Morning !!!!
This morning when I awakened
And saw the sun above,
I softly said, "Good morning, Lord,
Bless everyone I love."
attachment.php
Right away I thought of you
And said a loving prayer,
That He would bless you specially,
And keep you free from care.
I thought of all the happiness
A day could hold in store,
I wished it all for you because
No one deserves it more.
I felt so warm and good inside,
My heart was all aglow.
I know God heard my prayers for you,
He hears them all, you know.
You have two choices...smile and close this page
or pass this along to someone else to spread the good feelings.
I know what I did!!

NASA & THE BIBLE This is amazing

For all the scientists out there, and for all the students
who have a hard time convincing these people regarding
the truth of the Bible, here's something that shows
God's awesome creation, and that He is still in control.

Did you know that the space program is busy proving that
what has been called "myth" in the Bible is true?

Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company
in Baltimore, Maryland, and a consultant in the space program,
relates the following development.

I think one of the most amazing things that God has done for us today
happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland.
They were checking out where the positions of the sun, moon, and planets would be
100 years and 1,000 years from now..
We have to know this so we won't send up a satellite and have it bump into something
later on in its orbits.

We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite and where the planets will be
so the whole thing will not bog down.

They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries, and it came to a halt.
The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong
with either the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards.

They called in the service department to check it out, and they said, 'What's wrong?'
Well, they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time.

They scratched their heads and tore their hair out.. There was no answer.

Finally a Christian man on the team said, 'You know, one time I was in Sunday School,
and they talked about the sun standing still.'
While they didn't believe him, t hey didn't have an answer either, so they said, 'Show us, '
He got a Bible and went to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty ridiculous statement
for any one with 'common sense.'
There they found the Lord saying to Joshua,
'Fear them not, I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before Thee.'

Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy! And if darkness fell,
they would overpower them. So Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still!
That's right... 'The sun stood still and the moon stayed and lasted not to go down about a whole day!'
(Joshua 10:12-13)

The astronauts and scientists said, There is the missing day! They checked the computers
going back into the time it was written and found it was close but not close enough.
The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20 minutes . .
not a whole day.

They read the Bible, and there it was about [approximately] a day.
These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble
because if you cannot account for 40 minutes, you'll still be in trouble 1000 years from now.

Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits.
As the Christian employee thought about it, he remembered somewhere in the Bible
where it said the sun went BACKWARDS.

The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they got out the Book and read these words
in 2 Kings that told of the following story:
Hezekiah, on his death bed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him
that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof.
Isaiah said 'Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?'
Hezekiah said, 'It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees,
but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees.'

Isaiah spoke to the Lord, and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD!
Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes!

Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings
make the missing day in the universe! Isn't it amazing?
References: Joshua 10:8 and 12,13 and 2 Kings 20:9-11.

Forward this to as many people who you believe would think this is equally as cool.

If God could do this then; how much more can he do for us today. If we only believe in his word.

Thank you Darlene
