Me and some of my friends had recently talked about this during Student Out Reach at my church accouple of wendays ago...but I would like to hear what you guys have to say.

In today's world many people are so concerned about offending people of diffrent religions that they tend to stear away from talking about their faith...even when they think that it's the best time to talk about it. My question is: Doyou think you should keep quiet about you faith so you don't offend ppl or to actully talk about it so that they might understand your beliefs a bit more and maybe know at least a little about Christ....and stuff. (feel free to add to the question..)

Also...way do you think that it's so hard to talk to other ppl about your belief in God sometimes? (...besides just the reason that you might offend them.)

I think it matters more how a person does it then when they do it.

Personally, it depends on the person how often and exactly how I approach the subject.

With my father, who is not religous and to who the act of shoving religon down a persons throat is akid to murder, I approach it very slowly. I don't hide my faith but I state it as a matter of fact and not a "you should try this". I know he appreciates this.

With most of my old school friends, It comes up regularly because Jesus is always in my life (so is church). Again I watch how they are responding it and tailor it to their reactions. If you know how to read people this isn't a hard thing to do.

There is only two friends to whom I don't discuss it. On is a homosexual friend of mine from high school. I have told him what I believe and that I still love him and I have left it at that. He has such a distorted expectation that I know better than to be the one to bring up the subject, I leave that to him. The other friend is a Jehovah Witness and she has been my friend for 20 years now. I am not nearly familiar enough with the bible to get into a debate so I do not bring up the subject.

I think offending comes up only when you take the "I'm right and you are wrong" stance. I can bring up the subject with most people without doing that.
