Spinning

This last weekend, my husband & I went to a Story Telling festival. We were walking around & met a lady that knew how to spin wool! We sat with her for awhile, and she showed me how to do it. Now, I need a little practice, but that's my new hobby. We are looking into getting a couple of angora rabbits, and I guess I'll spin my own yarn!

Then I plan on doing some weaving, too.............

Are you using a drop spindle? I learned to spin on a wheel when I was in school, but I took up a drop spindle almost a year ago along with my daughters. It's a very pleasant activity, but I can spin more yarn than I can weave easily. I must get the heddling on my loom fixed...

Yes, I am using a drop spindle. I love it! I want to learn to use a loom, so I am also looking into that.
