  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Gee, give the whole movie away. You might as well have told them the ending where Spidey gets killed by Electro and Doc Ock and MJ elope to Vegas and open a casino.

I have seen it and it is great and much better and without giving much away, here are some hints:
Much more buffed Spidey
Much more better villian than the much maligned Green Goblin
Much more plot lines between the actors
Don't look if you want to stop reading here but
Spidy loses his "powers"
Also Spiderman is tackling on way, way, way, too much "work" in front of him
MJW becomes famous
Also a much darker side of Harry
Also a much closer bond to Peter and his Aunt May

Actually, the spoiler button is setup properly. I'm going to have to check with Erwin and see if there is a limitation with characters within it.

Yes, when you press the quote button on someones post, you're always able to see the tags and the contents within them.

God bless!

I liked it a lot. You can never be sure with sequels, but I think this was better than the first because we didn't have to go threw all the background. There was more time for action XXD

Well...at least we know who the next villian is going to be. I'm still rooting for Venom though.
It was cool not having to go through all the background but just getting right to the good stuff.

Maybe Venom could be in Spiderman 4? ;)

BTW, someone refresh my memory, who is Henry Jackson?

I'm glad to see a movie that was not only great, but had no cuss words (that I heard). I really wish more movie writers would realize that these "colorful-metaphors" add nothing to a film, and keep them out.

sadly enough, my ears are so jaded that i didn't even notice  s'all good, another reason to watch it again and check it out :D

i took my folks to see it today (cheering a hero in red, white and blue (or at least red, mirror and blue) seemed a good way to spend Independence Day afternoon :D ) they really liked it and i did notice that the worst words used were h-e-doublehockeysticks and an alternate term for donkey ;)

and ya know, i think i'll have to agree with Jeremy about it being one of the most beautiful movies ever made (another was The Passion but we might not agree on that one ;) ) and it touched me more the 2nd time than the first

I would agree with you on that one too, but The Passion was beautiful for totally different reasons.

I enjoyed it more the second time myself. The film works on just so many different levels. there are a number of scenes that I was a torn between laughing and crying.

I've been a life long spider man fan but the comic book never connect with me the way this film did. It's actually hard to believe that comic books is its source material. It's definitely the best superhero movie ever made.

The movie was a wonderful sequel; it was a seemless extension of the first film.

If you liked Spidey 1, you'll like Spidey 2.

If you didn't like Spidey 1, then why do you imagine you might like Spidey 2?
(Although, Roger Ebert didn't like Spidey 1 and he loved Spidey 2; but I don't understand that either.)

Well, being one to have collected all of his comic books for about 20 years, the 1st movie did not impress me at all. I mean I liked it to a point, but not nearly as much as the rest of the world seemed to like it. I didn't have much hope for Spiderman 2. I initially didn't even want to watch it until the DVD came out. I was very much mistaken. Part 2 was truly, extremely well done and even though his storyline is rushed compared to the comic book series (as fas as his relationship with MJ), I guess it would have to so as to bring everybody up to par. I wish they would've kept Gwen Stacy in the storyline because I would've loved seeing that, but that would've taken some time and probably not worth it in the long run.

So here's another one that didn't like Spidey 1 much, but feels that the storyline was redeemed with Spidey 2 and was very happy it to have seen it. I think I'll go watch it again before the DVD is released :)
