The jury concluded within hours that Trump was liable on two civil claims brought by Carroll under New York law — one for battery, and another for defamation based on Trump’s denial of Carroll’s allegations in a post on Truth Social in October 2022. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million.

The civil, not criminal, but civil fraud trial is still flapping in the breeze and doesn't seem to be going too well for the prosecution. The civil, not criminal, but civil sexual assault case was won by a private citizen. So far, after many years of attempts, there's nothing that's even close to keeping Trump from being re-elected. Which is supposed to be the actual goal. So yeah, the Cyote still hasn't really came anywhere close to catching the Roadrunner after all these years. And now it's getting down to only months left.

Considering that a conviction in any of the trials Trump is facing won't bar him from running for president....

Maybe that theory doesn't hold water.

Maybe -- just maybe, you understand -- these trials are about justice and the law applying equally to everyone. Including Trump.

Trump has not been indicted for instigating insurrection at this time.

The latter charge might prevent him from holding office, depending on a ruling, most probably by the SCOTUS, as to whether the 14th Amendment applies, but at the moment, since he has not been charged with that, the question will remain open for the time being.

We won't know the verdicts of these cases, or the penalty should the verdict be guilty, until they occur, obviously; so anyone may speculate all they like.

Most recently, of course, the NY trial for fraud has already returned a guilty verdict in summary judgment. He was also found to be liable for defamation and sexual abuse in the E. Jean Carroll case. Further, in 2022, the Trump Organization was convicted on 17 criminal charges of fraud, and he was also found guilty of fraud regarding Trump University.

So, uh, yeah. Not exactly as untouched as the roadrunner there.

More recently,the coyote was fined millions of dollars for sexually assaulting a woman and has been found guilty of defrauding banks by fraudulently inflating the value of his properties.
