Speaking in Tongues - Are we all wrong?

Now I can see how tongues can be proven not to be an unknown gibberish prayer language, but to prove that tongues is not a real language is another thing

The tongues of the New Testament is both supernatural babbling and an actual language unknown by the speaker. Paul seems to wish to limit it's use as the former while bragging he used it more than anyone else for the latter.
