Sound problems?

Can someone here help me fix this little problem. My 'wave' balance shuts itself off everytime I change music or anything sound related. It just started happening and I didn't change anything. Its really annoying, so if someone could help I would be eternally grateful

hmm very strange, what audio doftware are you using? ie what are you using to play the music?
does it happen even when windows plays an 'alert' sound?

Don't know what you mean by 'alert sound'. I was using winamp at the time that it started. But it still happens when i use Sonique as well. I watched a video trailer in quicktime today and i didn't have to adjust my sound, but with the music I have to reset evertime i switch a song or change radio stations.

an alert sound is when windows has an error or something and plays a short sound file..
but as for the problem. its got me stumped... have you tried uninstalling winamp/sonique then re-install them? give that a try and let me know how it goes.

I don't know what happened but it fixed itself *shrug*. I was going to unistall it today but don't need to now.
