I could be wrong about this and I am still terrified of this so don't think im out of the woods here but I am trying to face what i believe is the truth based on scripture ..


I AM going to make two threads and adresse two seperate issues and i promise you you will see a hopeful person and one who thinks they might be condemned but i cant help that ..im trying to work through all of this as best as i can..


It is my belief now that it is impossible to commit the unpardonable sin by thoughts for the simple but yet profound reason that Jesus never said that it was .. Actually Jesus spoke of a speaking sin which begain in the heart and was purely premeditated ... i have read that even in the greek the words indicate a premeditated blasphemy ..thought out first and done with full comphrension of what one is saying ..

Because of the fact that Jesus said Speaketh and not thinketh we have no right to read more in to what Jesus said that he actually did ..

Therefore it cannot be commited in thought ..

I think you are right ...but a great many of us doubt whether or not we have truly accepted Christ ... the question for some n is then begged if we haven't been saved have we commited this sin and cann ot come to christ .. there are times when i dont know which way is up or down .. in fact i know that some on this board will likely judge me to be an idiot but at times i doubt the existence of God ..

But you need to understand that it is about denying . Whether you doubt you accepted Christ or not, it doesnt mean you deny Christ. know what I mean? not sure if that came out right lol...

People dont accept Christ because of a certain feeling. It is a choice, a commitment. Some people want fuzzy feelings to know they have accepted Christ but thats not what its about. We actually accept Christ by Faith.

Same thing with being born again, its not a feeling but you will see a change in your life, God is working in your life. We need to get grounded in Gods Word, not our feelings

It cannot be commited in words as easy as it may look either. I say this because I have blurted things out in compulsions, im sure quite a few other people have too. It doesnt mean we commited the unpardonable sin.

Well I dont think your an idiot and noone here should ever call you one either.

What makes you doubt the existance of God? Do you think its part of your OCD or have you always had these doubts?

I was thinking about a scripture today that says it's our heart that condemns us but God is bigger than our heart...
here it is I found it...
Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater then our hearts, and he knows everything.

I really like the fact that he is greater than our hearts....
and I know he is greater than the thoughts that come flying at us that we don't even agree with.

Yeah, I think you have a valid point there, Andrew. Of course, you know I don't believe it is possible to commit this sin in some kind of accidental way, anyway, but I think what you said does give some indication/justification for that perspective too.
