• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I had a forced sexual encounter (I was a virgin) last year and my period was about two weeks late and i had almost every pregnancy symptom that there could be other than frequent urination. I felt pregnant but i started spotting pink which is abnormal for me at night and then i woke up and the tops of my legs were covered in blood. I bled very heavily that whole day with terrible pain in my back and stomach, not like normal cramps or like a normal late period for me. I felt very ill like I was going to pass out and very nauseous and then it slowed to like a normal period. It bothers me that I'll never know and I'm not sure if anyone has experienced those symptoms but..

Even though the baby would've been a product of a bad experience it still hurts me to this day because I've always wanted to be a mother. I never told anyone about it, it hurts. I feel like I'm suffering in silence.

I am so sorry you went through this.
It does sound to me as a pregnancy loss, but being I am not a professional, I am not sure.
I have been pregnant 2 times, but I never lost a child so I jumped in to give support.

Dear girl, get to a doctor, soonest. If it was a miscarriage, your ob/gyn can tell. If it was a disease then it could be something that could permanently scar you and render you unable to have children later even without symptoms right now. (I'm thinking the obligate cellular parasite chlamydia here)

Regardless, this dirtbag should be brought down. Tell your parents if they are at all supportive. And if you are at college and they want to bring you home to protect, it's just part of being a parent you know?

My parents don't know. even though it wasn't my fault they'd still blame it on me and wouldn't be very understanding. I need to go get tested and things still. Being in school for medical i know ideally i should've went to begin with but i just don't have the money to go right now. I don't have health insurance so it makes things difficult for me. thank you for reading my story.
