  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some don't understand Romans 3:31. Here is a challenge.

1 john chapter 1 verse 8
If anyone claims to be without sin they deceive themselves and the truth is not in them.
James chapter 2 verse 10
If anyone keeps the whole law yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
No one keeps the law, galatians chapter 5 verse 6
the only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love.
Hebrews chapter 7 verses 11,12 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood for on the basis of it the law was given to the people why was there still need for another priest to come one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.

verse 18 and 19 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless for the law made nothing perfect and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

My guess is you're calling us haters of God because we don't observe the 7th day Sabbath. Is that correct? Yes or no, please.

My opinion is I choose to believe God who said He would make a new covenant and Jesus (God) said its now in effect. All of which can be and is established as fact without reference to Paul's works that are so despised.

You can keep your bondage if you like. I love the freedom in Jesus the Christ and the life He provided for. Seems to me you exclude even the Gospels as being of God. Your only quote is from them. I have no idea what it has to do with the thread or even support for your statement.

15 for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no sin.

Paul speaks about the Law - so also do many texts in the "Law and the Prophets" - but Passover does not condemn all the world for violation of it.

The Moral LAW of God - does.

And Paul is specific that this Law that condemns is written on stone.

It is the same law then that we "ESTABLISH" in Rom 3:31 "Do we then make void the LAW by our faith? God forbid! in fact we ESTABLISH the LAW"

To part from sin can be tough for some. It can be addictive for those who rejoice in sin, to try and justify sin. As the scripture says, our family in God have spoken and written for all to profit in God. Goodness and mercy. Love and truth. God is all we have. God is all.

The force part comes into play when it is clear what you are wanting and demanding of others. It has nothing to do with being physical.
