Since your probably not going to be satisfied no matter what, then it's becoming clear that no amount of ability, or energy, is going to be sufficient for you fully, etc...

God Bless!

See? It's a good thing to recognize one's limits.

The Truth about the true Trinity is in the Bible, etc... Some just have blinders on and cannot see it, etc...

Anyone can get the real truth that matters by reading the scriptures themselves and for themselves, and in that way, God has preserved it, etc...

And it is not a matter of communication, but lies in the errors of man due to having blinders on and their own arrogant interpretation, etc...

We do not technically have free will, etc...

God Bless!

We were guaranteed a solution to the creation/evolution debate... 300 posts in, and we don't have that, either.

Funny, I thought it was settled already...?

I made my thoughts and my theory on it pretty clear already, etc...

What are your questions about it, and more specifically, what I had to say about it...?

God Bless!

Well, I think it's sad though really, that no amount is ever going to be sufficient for you, etc....

Very sad thing, etc...

But perhaps that is one of my limits, I cannot save "you", etc...

But just maybe perhaps, some others have heard what I said to you and maybe saw a bit of light maybe...?

"Maybe" anyway, etc...?

God Bless!

No amount of... whatever it is you have... that you can muster.

Maybe... but what have you said that's so convincing?

As far as the whole creation/evolution "thing" goes, see my post #234 and after it a while back, etc...

God Bless!

Ah, let's see.

It addresses the errors in the traditional or classical interpretations of Genesis and the Creation accounts that were previously in conflict with ToE, and resolves and/or solves them, etc...

I don't know how you can be any more "on topic" than that, etc...

God Bless!

@FrumiousBandersnatch

It shows how there can be both a special set apart and set aside race of specially created beings that were specially created in a certain region, and also a race of evolved humans or creatures or beings that eventually began running into each other and interbreeding and intermixing, for which most of the race of specially created beings were destroyed by a regional flood leaving only mainly just the race of only evolved beings only, etc, mostly anyway, etc...

Did you not read the OP "at all" etc...?

Or did you "just not get it", etc...?

Because I really don't know how else to put it, etc...?

God Bless!

Ah, yes -- you're promoting a rather whimsical new interpretation of Genesis, based on... absolutely nothing... while saying nothing about evolution itself.

Now, you claim that this is because you're not questioning evolution -- bravo for you if this is in fact the case -- but if you're proposing a new interpretation of Genesis, why not propose it to the Biblical literalists, the ones who reject evolution precisely because they don't have an interpretation of Genesis to reconcile it with?

There are supposed to both on here, is there not...?

And I have raised the idea in other places on here also, etc...

It's a "working theory" that happens to work with both right now, etc...

Can you at least admit "that much", etc...?

God Bless!

After all, either we have free will or we do not...
It is a matter of viewpoint, to some extent. Subjectively, we have free will - we experience making what feel like free (uncoerced and unconstrained) decisions and choices. Objectively, they are determined by prior events (possibly with some random contribution).

But the dualist notion of free will seems incoherent - how can a choice not be based on prior events?

I can't admit it "works" on anything unless I actually see it... you know... work.

Especially as you're constantly moving in the wrong direction.

If you're determined to "save" me from an imminent condemnation, wouldn't it make more sense to talk about Christ, and not about Genesis?

Because in order to be "saved," I would have to believe that Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God, sent to this world to redeem mankind of its sins.

(Spoiler alert: I don't believe this)

But it would be entirely possible for me to believe such a thing even if I thought Genesis 1-3 was a collection of fairy tales. (Spoiler alert: it's more than that, but it certainly ain't literal to me).

So here's a question: why is it that the Christians who allegedly want to "bring me to Christ" want to lecture me about everyone and everything but Him?

I have my suspicions about this, but I'm willing to entertain alternative theories.

So it's possible for an agnostic to say, "I don't believe [insert doctrine here]"?

In other words, you're atheistic about it -- not agnostic about it?

"Other" words, yes -- but if you wanted to use the correct words, then you wouldn't say it.

You can settle for just a saving knowledge if you like, and maybe just barely squeeze in the backdoor into heaven, but I want more than that for people, I want them to "know God", etc, because it's just so much more fulfilling, etc, and is so much very much more fulfilling both right now in this life, and in the next to come, etc...

There are a lot of very very miserable people with just a saving knowledge only, etc...

God Bless!

Which question in his wall of text are you talking about?

He has two questions embedded between something about being saved and something about Genesis 1-3 that is about as clear as trying to read a newspaper through a translucent window.

Specifics isn't one of academia's achievements.

If you want to translate his post for me, I'll see if I can answer it.

Oh, come on, really...?

It is a "working theory", etc, and I can't believe you can't admit at least that, etc...
