I don't know anyone who wasn't on an episode of The Tudors who would refer to a single woman as a 'lady in waiting.'

Old Maid and Spinster are the absolute worst.

yes i can understand that but i've been single my ENTIRE adult life so i'm not too fond of the word lol i prefer to be called 'not taken'

anyways back on topic... when people have said to me "Oh you're still single." or "You wouldn't know what i'm talking about you're single." It's like they're trying to say i am failing because i am still single or i am ignorant and clueless because i'm single.... but i got over it.... i'm doing much better about being single now and people pointing out i'm single no longer bothers me knowing that i'm just looking for the right girl.... only thing that still bothers me is the pangs around the holiday season that make me wish it would happen sooner...

i agree with you on that...don't get me wrong being single does have its high notes but like you mentioned holidays tend to be rough especially around the family b/c i'm the only one left thats not hitched but i digress. I am trying to be more content with it and some days are better than others. Ethier way the waiting game is going to be worth .
