• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So then, has anything changed?

Racism, as pointed out earlier by another poster, is not human nature. It hasn't always been and it doesn't have to continue.
Poverty is a different issue. It touches on the fact that there will always be a hierarchy of elites in every culture that will work to suppress others and keep them from rising to the same status.

Various forms of caste systems can be eliminated, but another form will take its place. This is why socialism fails. It seeks equality, yet it creates an elitist group that controls all groups below it.
We can, and should, seek to eliminate injustice whenever it raises its ugly head. Racism is one of those forms of injustice we can eliminate, but it will be a fight because many elites gain privilege from the system.

Neither socialism, caste systems, or racism is responsible for poverty in America. People have a choice. The biggest problem minorities have is not taking God's advice to "Leave your mother and father and cleave to your wife (or husband)". Instead they gather into large family groups (tribes if you will) and insist that someone else raise them all out of poverty.

This is just wrong on multiple levels. I can't help you overcome so many false statements. I think I'll tap out and leave you to your wrong, wrong thinking.

Sorry, I meant to say not taking God's advice to leave family and strike out on one's own.

If minorities took the advice freely given by successful people, including successful blacks, they would fare much better. These are the 'levels' you are dismissing.
