• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Nice to see this section.
i have 2 boys that have AS and the youngest has ADHD too.
I recently went to a church who told my that my boys needed healing at that their conditions were due directly to my past history.
nice people!
nice to see a balanced view here!:)

I have AS and almost half of my children appear to be on the spectrum, but (having been involved in Deliverance ministry before) I wouldn't throw out everything they are saying. Regardless of the source of Aspergers, we are as vulnerable to spiritual attacks as much as anyone else.

Ya, I was like that in the past, Londongal. Since Christianity was the truth all answers had to be in the Bible. So people that weren't normal needed some type of healing.

Well, over time I've learned that all answers aren't in the Bible. Like an obvious thing - how to do calculus. So I've learned that God can teach us so much more.

In Corinthians Paul talks about how the body of Christ is made up of different people that aren't all the same and that all people are needed. So to say people that are different need God to heal them is to not see people the way God sees them. I'm glad I have AS and don't pray for God to heal me.
