What I do find highly amusing is how we, the war-mongering, racist, right wing , capitalist pig nation elected a black man, and all the western European enlightened, progressive, and wonderfully egalitarian nations have not.

Yes, that is amusing to say the least. However, They did elect a female Prime Minister...but that is quite expected over there...not here!

To build on this, I find it highly amusing that there are people will vote for a woman to be a heartbeat (or perhaps even half a heartbeat) away from the presidency of the United States, and yet still find a woman unfit to lead in church.

There are consistent reasons for that though. You can't act like it is a contradiction when those people believe the rules they believe restrict women's authority in the church don't apply to the Government.
