When I came to Christian Forums I was happy and full of faith and hope. Now I am at a loss and feel there is no hope. So what should I do? Just no longer come to the forums?

There are a lot of really disappointing, foolish people here....nothing you can really do about it. I'll be praying for you, but in the meantime, just challenge yourself- do you NEED to be here?

I see you opened a thread in politics asking about the deep state about an hour after opening this thread up I guess mine and others advice to stay out of the politics area here has been ignored.

Why did you come to the forums? The reasons for travelling here could have been part of the reason - expectations that weren't met. Who were you trying to engage with and did you manage it?

I was just trying to fellowship, however got caught up in debate. Thank you for reply.

The IGNORE button is a beautiful feature. Use it with glee, occasionally checking your PEOPLE YOU IGNORE list to see how long it gets (this will shock you). When you want to read the missing comments from a thread--because the PEOPLE YOU IGNORE are G - O - N - E , yet still posting to others that you like to read--simply click on SHOW IGNORED CONTENT at the bottom of the thread. You'll see all the usual PEOPLE YOU IGNORE again, saying all the same things that led you to IGNORE them in the first place. Once you move to the next page or another thread, POOF! they're gone again.

The cool thing about all this is that what I've described above works for every single person who visits this forum. Everyone's experience here can be enhanced by using the IGNORE feature.

Yeah, I can imagine that. I think the debating is the biggest thing here. Perhaps if you got things going it might start something, but I think on the whole people prefer face to face or even (under lockdown) video fellowship.

A good church is the best place to find fellowship. Not online.

On the other hand, finding a good church may be a problem in itself.... I'll pray for you.

I have to take breaks often. A lot of times, it doesn't help me. Sometimes it does. I'm mostly away now.

It's ok to take breaks, and try again in a week. Or, just choose to avoid actual debate. That might help, too.

What happened at this blog to turn you away? Perhaps staying away from things that don’t follow God’s Word to dwell on those things that are of a good report. I must go back to The Word regularly in Philippians 4:8.

Not posting 500 times over a period of just 7 days might be a good place to start. That's an average of over 70 times per day. Hard to achieve a balanced forum experience that way.
