When I came to Christian Forums I was happy and full of faith and hope. Now I am at a loss and feel there is no hope. So what should I do? Just no longer come to the forums?

What threads/areas are you reading from? There is a lot of strife in some areas of the forum and if you stick in those areas it can rub off on you and drag you down if you aren't used to dealing with people like that.

Well...I suppose that'd depend on whether or not you think the forums are responsible for how you're feeling. Sometimes seeing a lot of debate and arguing about the state of things (even if the arguments are good/civil) can be exhausting and discouraging. When you have a million opinions flying at you left and right, burnout can happen quite easily. I've had to disengage from online Christian communities before because they were ultimately more harmful than helpful to both my mental health and spiritual state. Doesn't make any of the people there bad people or the community a bad community; it just might not be the best place for an individual.

I'd pray about it and try to think critically about the benefits of the forums versus any problems you're having. It's ultimately your own decision. But if leaving is what's best for your mental health, don't feel bad about it!

You need to stay out of politics and debate areas as the majority of the people there are not going to change their mind from anything you say and many enjoy giving you a hard time some even like to tempt you into posting things that will get you in trouble and then report you for it.

I use to debate myself some but the majority of people that are "regulars" in debate areas aren't there to be honest and learn but rather there to try and indoctrinate you into their way of thinking... with some the truth be damned is how they think.

That might be a good idea at least until you have been rebuilt up in your former love for our Savior.

Perhaps you should focus on who you are in Christ, who He is in you and to hell with anything that tries to lure you away from the truth. Our hope is in Christ, not people, the world, opinions or circumstances. Let the problems make you stronger! Through tribulation we enter the kingdom of God!
